SQUISHED between two large sweaty men on a packed train carriage was certainly not her idea of peace, but Hina was managing to cancel out the unease of her personal space being invaded the loud music blasting through her headphones. Despite her softer appearance, her music taste was quite the opposite, her playlist packed full of punk rock and scene music. Most of which she'd discovered at the age of 13, when she had her emo phase where she only wore black mini skirts and gothic jewellery for a whole year. But her love for gritty singing and loud beats just kinda stayed. Music was another way of escapism, to let her thoughts sizzle and subside in that fantasy world she'd dreamt up. Somewhere under the sun where she could let go and just be.
It was raining today, pouring down with buckets of cold water bullet. The skies were muggy and dark, clotted in a dull grey puffs of smoke, bringing an intense yet somehow sultry vibe to this morning. Hina was already mourning just days ago when the sun was out, it may have been battling against the brisk winds, but it was there. This was supposed to be spring, and although Hina presumed the plants would be enjoying this rainfall, she certainly wasn't, not when it was so windy to. I mean...summer was only a few short weeks away!
Although Hina did not enjoy being smooshed between people, compact in the train like a tin of sardines, she much proffered this than the stormy weathers outside. Atleast the train was warm.
"Psst!"
With her earphones in, Hina nodded her head to the beat of her song, returning her gaze from the grey skies window gave, to her phone. She begun to scroll through her playlists, slightly scrunching her nose when she accedently clicked on the wrong song whilst flicking past all the album covers.
"Psst! Excuse me!"
The blonde girl begun to lowly hum, deciding to go with the song.
"Excuse me!"
Hina flinched back when she felt a finger prod her. She wipped her head around, taking her earbuds out to find the culprit.
"Your Hina Hikari right? I watched you in the sports festival!" A voiced ushered. The girl looked down, her eyes slightly widening when she saw a short haired—well she wasn't quite sure if they were a girl or a boy, gesture up at her. The person was skilfully slipped between the small gap the two men either side of her had left, their head just poking through. Hina tilted her head at them, her earbud still in one hand. She wasn't given enough time to even flash them a smile, when her head turned to a hoarse voice yelling the head off the other side of the train. It cut through the silence the compartment once held rather deafeningly.
