Sometimes I really wanted to be with Marc. In a world full of people like Finn, who constantly babbled about new products or virtual experiences, Marc was different. Sometimes he came off as a little too different, but I was always thinking, and laughing, when I was with him. He showed me a new perspective. And I don't think he just seemed special because of my crush on him. I think he really did think differently than everyone else.
Once I tried to find him on the dating sites, just to see what our compatibility ranking would be. If it was high I might have even asked him out. That's the main reason Finn always asks me out, after all. But I couldn't find Marc anywhere. He didn't have a profile on any of the sites. He wasn't married, so this seemed strange. Everyone was looking. But maybe he wasn't. Or maybe he just didn't trust the algorithms to find that person for him.
