So college, i say as i snuggle into my best friend. College, she replies, "we've got no clue what we're doing do we i ask". Nope, sometimes i wish there was an instruction manual to life because wtf.

I get you, girl, you know for summer. Yeah, she replies. Do you wanna just do a flight to New York 2 of us before we get busy. I would love to. she replies. Let's go be teenagers for the last time. How are we going to do this I ask especially alone ?Can you grab my laptop V she asks. I grab it off her beside table and hand Thanks, she replies.

It's a 12 hour flight non stop how much? About 800 dollars for both of us. That's fine, you yep. How many weeks maybe 3. Just to get away for a little while. We can finally open the bucket of money we saved since we were kids. We should use it for New York . Yes she replied more ideas popping into our heads.

Anyways I have to go my mom wants me back home for dinner. Nooo Alice wines can you stay and have dinner here you know you're always welcome.

Yes I do and I would stay sunshine but my mum wants me to meet her new boyfriend and she seems really excited. I can't let her down sunshine.

I get it she mumbles tell Doris I said hi and good luck be nice and tell me if he tries anything okay she replies. I will ,I'll talk to you later okay and I'll probably come around tomorrow. Love you I say as I kiss her on the cheek. I hear a faint love you too as I walk out her door.

Alice pov

I love you too I mumble. Then the realisation of what I had just done hit me I WHINED omg kill me. Why'd I do that she was gonna text me later anyways and it's not like she's my girlfriend or something omg I catch a look at my self as I'm pacing back and forth my cheeks are full on red. It's fine it's okay I mutter to myself she didn't say anything about it as I try to calm down.

Do I like her ? Omg I may like my best friend. It's not like she'd ever like me back anyway she's so pretty and i literally look like a slob right now. I'm wearing her red hoodie which she gave me when we went to get stuff at the grocery store when I left my jacket it already had multiple stains on it from making lunch I didn't really feel like washing it cause it smelt like her. I'll give it to her  after washing it I said to myself well maybe. 

I got back on my bed and kept researching on our  trip to New York it was gonna be so fun just 3 weeks me and her no school, parents or friends to bother us it sounded like a dream. I couldn't wait but we still had to convince my parents and also her mom but to be fair my parents trusted nobody with me but Veronica they knew I was always in safe hands.

But Doris Veronica's mom Alice would be tough because it's just both of them at the house because Alice's dad left when she was young and it's just her and her mom and she's very protective of her but a little convincing would do.

I sat on my bed and opened the presentation app we needed this to work and there's nothing our parents wanted than information on where we'd be staying or going that particular night so instead of being asked millions of questions I'd make a presentation. I'd always liked them anyways.

I grabbed my hair tie from my beside table I needed to lock in if we actually wanted to do this. I grabbed my notebook made a to do list flight, money, places everything I needed to find information was written there. Let's go

Time skip

I groaned I was tired every thing hurt. I managed to get myself into the worst sleeping position ever they were papers every where from me using my printer last night well at least I don't have school. I got up trying not to crumple or rip anything as I sat up a wave of exhaustion hit me immediately.

I took all my might to get up as I walked to my mirror to see how I looked my reflection was scary my hair was everywhere I had the biggest eye bags I looked like I'd been run over with a truck.

As I turned around I also realised my room was a mess. Then I heard a ping walked back to my bed I'd gotten a text from V saying she'd be over in 20 I screamed my room looked like a a rats nest.

I started picking up papers and all the stuff on and around my bed closed my computer and but it on my desk then I realised that I still looked a mess I took the fastest shower I'd ever seen brushed my hair out until I looked less crazy then I heard the doorbell ring shit.

I was tired and my moms new boyfriend was nice. he was fine just a bit odd I had this weird feeling in my stomach no he hugged me but it felt a little bit to touchy but I sucked it up because my mom seemed happy.

She made her amazing lasagna it smelt so good . He asked about school and stuff it was a bit boring just normal questions. My mom said we got along well I didn't really want to tell her he made me uncomfortable but he left after dinner and my mom went to see him off and I grabbed the dinner plates and put them by the
sink. So what'd you think my mom asked she entered the kitchen.

He's nice I replied. That's all you got ? Yep but he seems to really love you mom. Thanks for trying vivi it means a lot she replied . You welcome mom I replied. I'm going to head to bed by the way how was Alice's she asked she's was good I answered .We talked and chilled it was fun.That's good vivi love you lots as she kissed my forehead good night.

Goodnight mom love you too I replied.

Time skip

I was in front of Alice's door step. It was covered like a gazebo and had this charm to it with the lovely baby pink door and the mat that said welcome it had two Flower pots I'm sure that Alice forgot about them she made a promise to her mom that she'd water them.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the door being opened by a tired looking Alice. Hey sunshine why do look exhausted what happened I asked  . Come in I'll tell you when we get to my room she replied.I took my shoes off while Alice patiently waited for me. I said a quick hi to Alice's parents then followed her upstairs.

Are u okay I asked you look like you didn't sleep at all sunshine. I said as we got into her room. Cuz I didn't I stayed up the whole night planning our trip to New York she finally answered . Sunshinee you really didn't have to do that. I really want us to do this V Alice responded. Okay whatever you say I answered.

Show me the PowerPoint. How'd you know that it was a PowerPoint she asked. It's you sunshine you use any excuse to make one . Ok well you're right. here it is I scrolled past the pages looking at the sheer amount of detail she put into it. You did all this in one night did you even sleep I asked. I did I looked at her questionably she finally admitted that she only got one hour of sleep.

Sit I said speaking softly I know you're very excited about this but you need to sleep but I wanted too she whines .I don't care if you did you're destroying your sleep routine  you know what get up sit on the chair I started picking thing off her bed dusted it off.

You're going to sleep now I stopped myself in the middle of the sentence cause she had fell asleep I carried her off the chair and tucked her in but when I was about to leave so that she could sleep she grabbed my hand and told me to stay.

I got in her white comfy sheets and watch her sleep and snore lightly. I was also tired and I fell asleep not very long after.
