Chapter 27: New Addition

The figure slammed his fist into one of the arm rests of his throne, causing it to shatter upon impact, which created another powerful shockwave throughout the throne room.

Demon Head 1: 'This is it, it's all over for us now!'

Demon Head 2: 'I-I don't wanna die...'

The figure pointed one of his clawed fingers at the two-headed demon, a faint crimson-red aura covering it as he was about to do something to the poor demonic creature. However, nothing came. There was no attack, which confused the two-headed demon because they were expecting some kind of attack.

As for the figure, he lowered his hand and merely glanced at the firey orb that was in his other hand.

???: "Hmmm..."

He glanced at the demon.

???: "I've changed my mind, you both may survive another moment in my presence..."

The two-headed demon was shocked to hear those words. They were alive. They got to live another day. They weren't gonna die.

Demon Head 1: 'W-we live!'

Demon Head 2: 'Thank the primordi-'

???: "Quite your sulking, I have a task for you both to do..."

That got the demon's attention as they hesitantly looked up at their leader.

Demon Head 1: "W-what may that b-be, my l-lord?"

The figure merely raised up his hand, showing off the firey orb. They knew what it was or rather who it was. It was like Mundus, a fool who foolishly believed that they were stronger than the TRUE demon king.

???: "Deliver this to a certain fire bird..."

Meanwhile in the Human World.

A new day had risen over the small town of Kuoh. The sky was clear from any sort of clouds, and the sun had risen up high in the vastness of open blue, shining it'd rays of warm down upon the town below.

At the Hyoudou household, all seemed to be quiet as the residents were still in their beds sleeping off the events that had previously transpired not to long ago, well all but one person. Issei was currently in the living room with his feet kicked up on the table, a open box of Pizza sitting to the young man's left.

Issei: "Another day, another slice for the coolest dude in the world"

He reached over and grabbed a slice of pizza, raising it up to his mouth and was about to take a bite until he heard a familiar sigh.

Ddraig: ["Seriously, again?"]

Issei glanced down at the green gem that was on his hand.

Ddraig: ["How your teeth have no decayed from all that pizza yet, I have no idea..."]

Issei simply shrugged his shoulders.

Issei: "I guess I'm just too cool for such things"

Ddraig rolled his eyes.

Ddraig: ["The day that your considered cool is the day that I willingly give myself up to Tiamat"]

The brown-haired boy merely raised an eyebrow as he glanced down at the gem.

Issei: "Who-"

Ddraig: ["No one, no one you need to wor-"]

Issei: "-asked"
