This is the second book of "Play!". If you haven't read the first part yet, I highly recommend you to have a look there first since it will be hard to understand the plot otherwise.
A short summary of what happened so far:
Brett is a student of the Queensland Conservatory and gets to play in a joint orchestra camp competition with the Sydney Conservatory. He meets the other competitor, Eddy Chen from the Sydney con, a so-called prodigy who seems cold and distant at first. They quickly get to know each other, become good friends and before he knows it, Brett falls in love with him. Brett wins the competition, which prize is to play the Korngold violin concerto with the camps orchestra at the end of the three-week camp and after a few days of misunderstandings, Brett and Eddy confess to each other and eventually become boyfriends, strengthening their relationship during the remaining days. Their parents join them for the concert and while Eddy's mum seems to accept their relationship, Brett's mother is shocked upon the news. Now, after the concert, they're about to face Brett's family once more.
