"Oliver Twist was published in 1840 by-"

"Actually sir, Its was published in monthly installments that began in the year 1837 in February up until April of 1839, Plus it was the second novel of Charles Dickens and it was based off of-"

"Thank you Ella" My English professor seethed out, cutting me off.

I'm sorry, but if you're gonna teach me something, please be correct. I thought, glaring at him.

"So as Ella so clearly explained to us, Oliver Twist was Charles's second novel, does anyone know what the first one was?"

My hand shot up. No one else's went up.

Call me a goody two shoes, but I'm not gonna pretend like I'm stupid if I know the answer.

"Anyone?"

The room was silent, "Alright, Ella?"

"The Pickwick Papers"

"Ella, you've gotta stop answering every question in that class" Hillary spoke, at the moment we were getting ready for gym.

Yep. Still gym in this college, Please kill me now.

"I'm Sorry!" I exclaimed. After I had told her what happened in my English major class she was horrified.

I changed into a pair of black leggings, a sports bra and short sleeve t-shirt. We walked out of the locker rooms.

Great.

Just great.

"Oh my god! Cameron's in our gym class! I'm gonna change into some shorts!" Hillary remarked running back in the locker room. I sighed, and took out my phone- clicking on ibooks, I started to read Paper Towns, by John Green.

Which by the way is an amazing book. Yes- I've read it before, but its so good. Once class started, I was the only one wearing leggings. Cameron and his friends stood there eye raping each of the girls legs. I rolled my eyes.

This was not how I wanted to end my senior year of college, gym class

"Alright, every one!" The teacher spoke. If you could even call him a teacher, I mean- I don't think gym teachers can actually classify themselves as teachers. They're usually overweight teachers that are trying to make college kids workout, which I find very ironic.

"Today we are playing volleyball, Now, I'm gonna spilt you guys into groups of two and you must stay together." He spoke strictly looking at the girls.

"John and Lily, Robert and Rebecca, Amanda and Freddie, Hillary and Harry, Ella and Cameron, Maya and Josh..." He continued to read off names, once he had finished I walked straight up too him.

"Excuse me, Mr. Baynes, can I please change my partner?" I asked politely.

"Ella, I already announced that you have too be in a group with your partner."

"But what if I don't like my partner, I mean look- plenty of other girls look like they'd like too take my position." I said motioning to the girls who were surrounding him. Mr. Baynes sighed

"Everyone go to your partners" He yelled. I grumbled profanities before walking over to Cameron.

"You're my partner?" He spoke, cocking his eyebrow upward.

"Sadly" I muttered.

*****

"Ella! There's not in the mail for you!!" Hillary yelled into the dorm room. She threw it on my bed, I picked it up.

Oh my god.

Oh my god.

I quickly opened the letter, seeing that it was from the talent society. It read:

'Dear Miss Heartfelt,

We are pleased to invite you to the talent societies annual ball. We select a group of college seniors, to speak too large companies in order too increase the young adults that we think have potential to survive inside the large world, of publicity. This is a masquerade ball- it will take place in 2 days. You will have a private limo to bring you there. Our stylist will supply you with your dress and everything you need.

Look forward to seeing you there

~The Talent Society '

I almost screamed out of happiness. I can't believe it! this is my chance to become an author!! I quickly called up my mom- don't blame me she's like my bestie. And told her everything, I couldn't wait for it too come.

I was so excited, I couldn't even go to sleep.
