Ch. 1

I feel my face flush a tinge of pink appearing in its place, "I'm so sorry, I didn't- I wasn't, I haven't seen anyone in a long time.." His brows raise for a moment before maintaining the poker face I presume I will learn to get used to.

"Enough babbling, Y/N was it." He rises from him once sat position before folding his arms while slightly turning to face my direction. "Uhh yeah, and you are..?"

"Shadow." He speaks so firmly yet when trailing to the end of his name softens ever so slightly when really looking at me. "Now, who are you? I have never seen you before, especially not around Green Hill." There it is again, his presence, it's so intimidating yet something about his energy is so inviting.

"Mmm. Well, you see, er Shadow, I am the guardian of the shatter spaces and-" I feel my eyes slowly make their way from his ears to his absolutely to die for chest fluff and back down to his shoes.

He stands with an unamused look, "Do you mind?" Baring his teeth ever so slightly. My face heating up quite quickly I shake my head profusely and wave my hands in front of my face, "I'm sorry, I haven't seen anyone in quite some-" He cuts me off "Doesn't give you the right to gawk." He shifts uncomfortably while looking away for not even a moment.

"Right." I let out the breath I was once holding ever so long. Finally, I stood up, dusting any of the debris off from the rock that had been smashed. "The better question is, how did you end up here? Nobody has er ever been here before, just me." Lie

Promise he didn't see my shifty eyes, I haven't had mobian contact I almost forgot if they were real at all. Almost as if he were doing his own lie detector test in his mind he takes a deep sigh and side-eyes me, never changing the expression on his lips.

"Someone I know shattered our world, and in the midst of it all, I used my power that I had to teleport, ugh somehow getting myself here caught up in all of this." Shadow rolled his eyes and pinched his eyebrows together with his fingers.

This was bad, very bad, this explains the weakening of my powers, if this place and all of these shattered spaces become destroyed then I will cease to exist, I need more details and more context. I have a feeling he will not be so willing to share with me. I have to find those shards, but this would be nearly impossible for me to do since I'm trapped in here.

My inner turmoil became so prevalent it was blocking out the words Shadow was speaking to me. "Y/N!". Shadow snapped his fingers in front of my face. "AH yes! Well you see this is, very bad." I let out a distressed sigh before pacing around the rock.

Shadow now paying closer attention to the next words coming out of mouth, "See without anything keeping the prism together these worlds will begin to fall apart, and next thing you know, no more universes and ha no. More.- was your fri-"

"Not my friend, I am the ultimate lifeform, I need no friends." He says sternly, a now pissed-off expression greeting me on his face. "Right.." I clear my throat, continuing, "I cannot pass through the opening, and since this event happened my powers and energy have been, well limited."

"Useless." He mutters under his breath, "Now hold on a second mister Shadow!" I screech to a halt and sternly walk up to the man, who now had a smirk plastered on his face, he slightly bent down to look at me directly in my eyes.

"I am not, useless. Let's go, I should be able to see what is going on in there. Though I may not exactly be able to see anyone.." A half frown spreads on my face, hearing the words escape my own mouth, I do sound useless.

"Fine." He quickly turns his heel and begins to run and spin dash towards the red shatter space. I could see the smug look across his face as he left, shortly I followed after, conjuring a pair of wings, knowing they would last a quarter of the time they did. I made it quick flying over to the portal, bringing a floating rock for us to stand on.

Unamused that I took an extra few seconds to reach him, he folded his arms yet again, staring at me before landing on the rock. My shoes were like ice skates yet his were like roller skating air shoes of some sort. His energy let off that shimmering orange hue when he had run and dashed over.

"Alright I should be able to look around and see what may be going on, this world has never been.. all that pretty though." I sigh to myself, as Shadow takes a step forward with me, his energy buzzing.

I glide my hand across the portal and close my eyes, allowing my bound body to relax as my ghostly form appears next to a blue hedgehog- wait. I speak to Shadow though not able to see him. "I see, a blue hedgehog."

I hear a scoff, "That's the guy who broke our world." I feel myself nodding my head and acknowledging just so he understands that I did hear him. I now draw my attention back to the blue hedgehog who was seemingly talking to somebody although I couldn't hear the words that he was speaking or see the person that he was talking to by the expressions on his face there was quite a bit of confusion, relief, sadness, and a mixture of something else how I'm able to see him is news to me.

I shouldn't be able to see anybody whatsoever, but I could sense an energy in him similar to the energy that I carry in myself the prismatic energy since he is the one who shattered the prism there must be some relation.

"I'm not sure what is being said or going on but, by the expression on your fri- er accomplises face it mustn't be good." I sigh, a frown can be seen by a shadow appearing across my face as I throw my brows and try to read the lips of the hedgehog. It's been so long since I had seen anyone speak that it was quite hard to understand what was going on.

Shadow who had waited long enough grew impatient with my silence, calling out for me a few times as I attempted to wrack my brain on what may be going on, that was until small circular metal pieces were quickly placed on the hedgehog's feet and top of his hands, he began to make clear signs of excitement as his gloves and shoes had begun to modify to the prismatic energy.

"Fascinating, if I could just hold on a little longer.." I feel my body aching as my energy begins to weaken, my bound form calling me back in a desperate manner.

A hand

A hand was placed upon my bound body, causing a flow of energy to rush quickly through my veins. "Time to take these babies out for a test drive!" He spoke, the blue hedgehog spoke, and I could hear it. "SONIC WAIT IT ISINT SAFE!" Another voice hammered into my skull, this must be who 'Sonic' was speaking to.

"Sonic is.. speaking to someone, or something." I begin to gasp for air no longer being able to hold on much longer, swiftly i let go returning to my bound body before collapsing onto the floor beneath me, Shadow quickly reacts preventing my head from slamming against the floor.

"What? How did you know his name? What did you see?" His brows furrowed a firm expression fits his face attoning for his words. I peer up at him, my dizzy mind attempting to make sense of the words he spoke to me, "Y/N?!" He gently shakes me as my head falls back slightly.

"Shadow.."
