Emerald's PoV When I thought the day wouldn't get any worse, it did. I came home to the news that mom and dad are going to stay at Grandpa's for a month! A month! Without my parents!
I was scared, it is indeed a big job to be responsible woman. Well, I do have an older brother, Emerick. I love him a lot. He's my brother after all. When we were kids we used to do everything together and have fun, share secrets. But since he's gone to college,....And he's too irresponsible. He's supposed to be at college but he always stays at home. Flunks subjects which makes my parents even more worried about him.
"Em! Did you hear!" Emer comes running into my room.
"Yes Emer Yes I heard!" I say in frustratedvoice.
"Aww you scared that you'll be stuck with me?" He asks while making a puppy dog face.
"Yeah bro yeah" I said fake wiping a tear.
He makes a 'You're not cool face' and leaves just as fast as he came.
I rolled my eyes at his kiddy behaviour.
"Emi! Darling come down please! At least see us off!" My mom shouts from downstairs.
"Yeah mOm"I say as I Jog down the stairs and see mom and dad with their bags. I didn't even know I was crying until I felt something wet against my cheeks.
"Oh my baby . . .everything will be okay! You're a big girl now!" My mom says as she hugs me.
My dad grins and says "Be safe kiddo" he winks and continues "Love you so much, we'll miss you!" He says hugging me.
They pick up their bags and turn around once again at us to bid is good bye and leave.
Awful. Awful is the best word to describe my situation right now.
