Derek Morgan's POV

We're still trying to find a good track. But now it also misses Emily, because she went back home. She wasn't feeling very well, and I understand her. JJ is like her sister. They are always there for each other. They are best friends. It's hard for her. I want to console her, but I can't because Hotch wants us to find a track. I want to run to Emily's house and hug her tight. But I can't. Sometimes I just want to screw up everything and take my car and go live, I don't know, in Europe, and give up my life to start a new one. Life is cruel. But we are like superheroes, we save people when they get kidnapped. People see us as heroes, but we aren't. We're just humans being like everyone: we are broken; we are weak; we are fragile; we have a heart; sometimes we get hurt; we have feelings like everyone; we are afraid. Sometimes we just think that it's our last case, our last day, our last feeling, our last breath... But we are strong. Sometimes I wonder if we are psychopaths: we think like one; we don't show our feelings... But what reminds me that I'm a human being is when I feel pain; psychopaths can't feel pain. We...

I'm coming out of my thoughts by Penelope, who puts her hand on my shoulder.

"What were you thinking of?"

"Nothing."

"Okay. I just wanted to tell you that we found something."
