Hermione spent the entire day suppressing a smug smirk every time she passed Ginny in the corridors. The redhead shot her a warning glare each time, silently threatening violence if she so much as breathed a word. Hermione, of course, fully intended to tell someone—just not Ron.

She had someone far more entertaining in mind.

Draco.

That night, as the castle halls darkened and most students retired to their dorms, Hermione made her way toward the secret passageway near the library. It had become their unspoken meeting place, where no Prefects or professors would find them together.

As soon as she turned the corner, strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her back against a firm chest.

"You're late, Granger," Draco murmured, his breath warm against her neck.

Hermione rolled her eyes, but she didn't pull away. "Some of us actually do our homework, Malfoy."

Draco hummed lazily. "Mm. And yet, here you are. In my arms. Again."

She huffed. "Don't get used to it."

He smirked, pressing a soft kiss to her jawline before releasing her. "What's got you all smug tonight?"

Hermione grinned wickedly. "Oh, just some interesting news I stumbled upon this morning."

Draco leaned against the stone wall, arms crossed, silver eyes sharp with curiosity. "Do tell."

Hermione stepped closer, enjoying the rare moment of power over him. "I wasn't the only one sneaking out of the Slytherin dorms at five in the morning."

Draco's brows lifted slightly. "Oh?"

Hermione's smirk widened. "Ginny Weasley."

Draco's entire expression changed.

His jaw dropped, then twisted into pure amusement. "No. Fucking. Way."

Hermione nodded, grinning. "Oh, it gets better."

Draco leaned in, eyes gleaming. "Tell me."

Hermione took a dramatic pause, then whispered, "Blaise's room."

Draco actually stumbled back, staring at her like she'd just grown two heads.

"Weasley? With Zabini?" He let out a bark of laughter, running a hand through his platinum hair. "Oh, this is priceless."

Hermione giggled. "Right? She tried to act all smug at first, but we both knew we were equally guilty."
