It was past eight o'clock in the evening, Elizabeth had completed collecting the future princess's measurements and showing Catherine a few of her designs for approval. Only Elizabeth remained at Rufus's house after the rest of the group had already left.

To keep Lizzie from leaving, Rufus offers her a glass of wine, which Elizabeth accepts, before turning on the music "This Guy's In Love."

Hearing the song, Elizabeth felt the mood and starts talking, "I truly appreciate you doing this. You always manage to make my work life a little bit easier."

Rufus was clearly enjoying his time with Elizabeth, as evidenced by the joy in his eyes. Following Elizabeth's decision to resume her relationship with Nick, the two quickly lost touch.

He began to ask Elizabeth if they can dance to the song and she innocently said yes. Rufus, believing he is one of Elizabeth's confidants, asks her, while keeping Lizzie near to him, why she left so suddenly and came back married without telling him. Elizabeth felt guilty by his questions and immediately explains that everything happened so fast.

Looking at Elizabeth's eyes, Rufus felt the need to ask, "Are you happy?"

There were a few moments of hesitation as she felt a little uncomfortable, and then she answered him honestly and whispered while looking back at his eyes...

"I am."

Hearing Elizabeth's response made Rufus feel as though a dagger had been driven through his chest all the way to his heart, causing him to experience every anguish.

With a simple smile that conceals his sadness, he responds, "I'm glad you are. That's the only thing that matters to me."

Elizabeth gave him a kind smile before continuing to dance and embracing him as a sign of gratitude.

As soon as the music stops playing, it was already time for Elizabeth to go. She explains that Nick and their twins are waiting for her back home. Rufus gladly lets go of Elizabeth. They start to walk outside his chateau. On their way out, he offers to help Lizzie in any way he can after learning from Edward her struggles to keep everything a secret with the royal family. Elizabeth, who knew Rufus, laughed without attempting to refuse.

Outside, there was a car waiting for Elizabeth, but it was not her driver. Rufus had a conversation with Edward prior that he would take Elizabeth home without Lizzie's knowledge. She insists on taking a cab home out of concern that this could confuse Nick, but Rufus declines. Sensing Elizabeth's concerns, he simply offers that only his driver will take her home and Elizabeth finally agrees.

Rufus is left wishing for more time with his friend as she gets into the car and the driver leaves, but this is all Elizabeth has to offer.

Elizabeth tries to turn around inside the car to give his pal one last look, but Rufus is gone.

Outside the Parkers' house, the driver carefully parks the car. Elizabeth politely acknowledged the chauffeur. The driver leaves after making sure Lizzie got into the house safely.

A few soft lighting from the living room light the room within. Everyone had already gone upstairs. Elizabeth climbs the steps like she's ascending a mountain, too exhausted to handle everything that happened during the day.

As the devoted mother that she is, Elizabeth went directly to her twins' room on the second floor before going into the master bedroom. As soon as she walked in, she noticed Hallie, who sleeps in an odd position that exposes nearly half of her body under the cover. In order to keep her daughter warm, Elizabeth adjusts both her position and the blanket. Before leaving in silence, she gave her twins a gentle kiss and stroked their red hair. The family dog, Sammy, simply stares at her before she closes the door.

Nick is waiting for his wife, sound asleep in his lazy chair by Elizabeth's vanity table. As a very clean freak, Elizabeth walk straight to the bathroom for a fast shower rather than awakening Nick.

A few moments later, she tries to gently wake Nick by stroking his hair after the shower so they can get into bed.

Nick asks, "Lizzie?" after opening his eyes and attempting to identify the person in front of him. He then checks his phone to see what time it is. "It's past ten. Have you had your dinner?" he adds. Nicholas skipped his dinner so he could join her if she shows up, but Elizabeth only nods and adds that she hopes Nick has his.

He ignores his hunger as he begins to walk to bed after hearing her response. Remembering that his husband is not accustomed to eating without her, Elizabeth once again ask Nick if he had his last meal, Nick insist that he is fine and would now want to go to sleep. Elizabeth felt an instant guilt.

Elizabeth answers quickly, "Darling, I think I wasn't satisfied with what I had. Would you like to come to the kitchen with me?" He was immediately motivated to accompany his wife downstairs after hearing her offer. Elizabeth looks at her naive Nick and smiles as she shakes her head.

In the kitchen, the pair is drinking a bottle of wine and savoring a wonderful roasted chicken that was leftover from the last meal. Elizabeth gets an alarm message all of a sudden. It's from Rufus. Forgetting to inform him, she checks his message...

"Please inform me if you made it safely."

Nick, who's not used to his wife getting a late message, asks curiously, "Is everything alright?" Elizabeth smiles and tells Nick that everything is good and that Edward sent a message to inquire about her safe return home.

Nick is already sound asleep when he gets back into bed. Elizabeth then grabbed her phone, turned down the screen's brightness, and started typing.

"Thank you again for tonight, and I apologize for the delayed response. I'm back home safely."

She put her phone back on the side table and close her eyes. When Nick unexpectedly wraps his arms around her, she reacts by holding on to him even tighter.
