"chale to kat hi jayega safar
ahista ahista
chale to kat hi jayega safar
ahista ahista"

The chariot moved steadily along the grand roads of Dwarka, carrying Subhadra and her best friend, Vrinda, toward the unknown. The echoes of her family's parting words still rang in her ears, filling her with both determination and sorrow. Every mile that passed felt like a piece of her heart was being left behind.

Vrinda, noticing her silence, gently placed a hand on hers. "Subhadra, I know it's hard, but this journey will shape you into the warrior you are meant to be."

Subhadra gave her a weak smile, nodding, though her heart still longed for the warmth of her brothers, Mothers and Yashoda's embrace.

A few hours into their journey, they reached a junction where a royal messenger awaited them. The man bowed and handed a scroll to Subhadra. She recognized the handwriting immediately—it was Krishna's.

She unrolled it hastily, her eyes scanning the words:

"Bhadra, before you step into the rigorous life of Kanyakul, I wish for you to visit the holy Somnath Temple. Seek the blessings of Mahadev. Strength is not just of the body but also of the soul. Let your heart find clarity in His presence. After all, one must never leave on a great journey without bowing to the divine. You will understand when you stand before Him.
Your Krishna Bhrata".

Subhadra's heart swelled with emotion. Krishna always knew what was best for her, even when she couldn't see it herself. She turned to the charioteer. "Change the route. We will go to Somnath first."

At the Temple of Somnath

The temple of Somnath stood tall against the vast blue sky, its golden pinnacle gleaming in the sunlight. As Subhadra stepped onto the temple grounds, a strange calmness settled over her. The waves of the ocean roared in the background, as if Mahadev Himself was speaking through them.

She entered the sanctum, her feet feeling lighter with every step. Before her, the grand Jyotirlinga of Mahadev stood in all its divine glory. The moment she laid eyes on it, something inside her shifted. She felt the weight of her fears, her worries, and her sadness slowly fade away.
She started doing the veneration with all the love and devotion she had.

Falling to her knees, she closed her eyes and joined her hands.

"Mahadev, give me the strength to walk this path that has been laid before me. I am afraid. I do not know if I am ready. But I wish to make my bhrata Krishna and Dau proud. Please guide me."

A sudden gust of wind swept through the temple, and for a brief moment, she felt something—an unseen presence, a reassurance, as if Mahadev Himself was listening. And why wouldn't he, he would always attend his Gauri anytime!

When she opened her eyes, they no longer held uncertainty. They shone with quiet determination.

Vrinda, who had been watching her silently, smiled. "You look different, Bhadra. Lighter, somehow."
