Warren smiled and cranked up the truck engine and it started. He was impressed.
Warren: So......it was a starter problem?
Kiana: (wiping her hand with a rag) That and there's a few other things you should look into if you want this baby to run smoothly. This is a classic. They don't make these anymore. Where'd you get this truck, Warren?
Warren: Oh, it was just......a family property....... from my grandfather to my father and here and now......
Kiana headed to her truck to pick up some things and returned to Warren's truck.
Warren: You're not planning on working on those other things you mentioned, are you, Miss Watson?
Jean laughed.
Jean: If I know Kiana Watson at all, she's going to make sure this thing runs properly before she calls it a day.
Kiana: That's right, Jean. And...... (taking out some tools) I don't like leaving my clients unsatisfied. (continues to work on Warren's truck)
Warren smiled. He was also a little worried about how much all this was going to cost. Jean helped Kiana get the truck jacked and she slide under it with a sliding bed. Jean stood beside Warren, as he waits for Kiana.
Victor woke up and realized that Melanie Jayne was standing at the door, looking out.
Victor: Good morning, Melanie Jayne.
MJ: (looks at Victor and smiles) Oh, hey......you're up......
Victor: (stands beside Melanie and looks out the door) What's going on?
MJ: Jean and your dad are getting the truck fixed.
Victor: Who's that under the car?
MJ: Jean's friend. Kiana Watson. (looks at Victor) Come on. I'll get you some coffee. I think this is gonna take a while.
Melanie Jayne poured Victor some coffee and sat with him at the dining table while Jean and Warren were outside assisting Kiana with the truck. Warren tried to look under the truck to see what Kiana was doing. Jean just stood around to see if there was anything else Kiana would him to get for her while she was under there.
Warren: Excuse me for being uh......forthcoming......but I uh......this is my first time seeing a young lady working on this truck. I've had several mechanics with um......a lot of experience looking at this thing and they haven't got a clue what to do.
Kiana: It's just interest, I think. I also like a good challenge.
Just as Kiana said that, oil came gushing out from the bottom of the truck. She was drenched as she rushed out from under the truck. Warren was in so much shock that he didn't know what to do. Jean just laughed as he handed her a rag.
Jean: I hope you didn't get any oil in your mouth, Miss Watson.
Kiana stood up all covered in black oil. Warren looked at her and smiled.
Warren: You're gonna need a shower, Miss Watson. I'll get you some towels.........
Kiana: (cleaning her face with a rag) I'll shower later. I need to fix that leak first.
Jean helped Kiana get the tools she needed as Warren watched them fix the leak under the truck. Victor was in the house with Melanie Jayne. They got their coffee and decided to sit out on the porch to watch the adults at work.
Victor: This is very strange but......
MJ: Entertaining? (laughs)
Victor: (laughs) Should we go help them?
