Chapter 20

I felt guilt instantly creep into me seeing as Dani casually nodded her head with a look of hurt and jealousy before grabbing her ear phones and placing it inside her ear.

“Oh okay.” She nonchalantly says before closing her eyes and leaning her head against Haerin’s shoulder. Haerin narrows her eyes towards us,

“Are you two together or something?” She asks. Hanni widens her eyes and feverishly shakes her head,

“No we’re not. It was a mistake we were just drunk.” Hanni convinces. Haerin looking uneasy turns to me with narrowed eyes causing me to gulp nervously,

“Hope you two are being honest with yourselves and to us.” She coldly says causing a wave of annoyance to flow through me. I scoff,

“You’re one to talk.” I sharply state. Haerin lifts her eyebrows and sharpens her gaze while crossing her arms,

“What is that suppose to mean?” She darkly asks. And before I could rebuttal, Hanni quickly snatched my hand.

“Girls stop, we’re all tired. Let’s just rest okay?” She says as she sends me pointed look. I stare at her for moment before exhaling and nodding my head while leaning on her shoulder and crossing my arms.

‘What a way to start my day.’

Saying goodbye to my mom was the hardest part out of the whole process. I haven’t cried that hard since last night with Hanni. But she understood that I had a responsibility as an idol but she doesn’t know that I rather have the responsibility of being her loving daughter. I promised her I would call her as much as I can which she loved.

The whole trip going back home however was absolutely agonizing. Haerin and I had seemed to ague with every little thing. I had no idea as to why she was even angry when she had no reason to be. The one who should be angry was me! But I wasn’t, I was hurt and tired. I just want to see my lovely dog.

Even Dani was avoiding me and Hanni.

Those two are so dense.

Walking in my room, I quickly placed my bags down and flopped myself on my bed with my cats laying on my stomach as I scrolled through my phone.

However, seeing Sunghoon calling me had quickly brought my body at ease. I answer it,

“Hey!” I hear a low chuckle,

“What’s up my dude?” He asks. I sit up and began to walk around my room while laughing lightly,

“Oh what. So you move on and now I’m one of the bros?” I tease. He laughs,

“Let’s be honest Lis, you’ve always been like one of the guys.” He comments. I playfully scoff,

“Shhh we can’t reveal my dick to the world now.” I quickly reply and began to laugh even louder hearing him gagging through the phone.

“If that’s the case then I literally grinded up and made out with a dude.” I seat myself on my bed and began to laugh hysterically at the thought of that.

“Don’t deny that you enjoyed the kiss.” I cooed. He chuckles and I knew he rolled his eyes with that comment.

“I’m more concerned that you haven’t denied my assumption.” He teases.

“I mean the way you were grinding against me, I highly doubt you wouldn’t have felt something poking you down south.” I chuckled as I heard him choke on his water.

“Oh gosh you’re disgusting.” He laughs out. I laugh and was about to remark until I heard a loud knock on my door. I jump in surprise,

“Hold on Sunghoon.” I whisper, before walking towards my door and opening. I let out a breath and furrowed my eyebrows,

“What do you want?” I ask. Haerin crosses her arms and stared blankly at me.

“Could you keep it down, I’m trying to take a nap.” I roll my eyes and send her a salute.

“Sure thing princess.” I mock. She scoffs and was about argue till she heard the voice of Sunghoon who apparently decided to yell through the phone to catch her attention.

“Is that Haerin!?” I wince and pull the phone away from my ear before gritting my teeth,

“You do realize I need my hearing right?” I chuckle out. Haerin scoffs,

“Sunghoon huh? First you kiss him and then you kiss Hanni? Does he even know you’re cheating?” She coldly states. I narrow my eyes,

“I have to go. I’ll talk to you later.” Not waiting for him to reply I quickly hang up my phone before snatching Haerin’s wrist and pulling her inside my room and shutting my door shut. I lock it and turn to face her with a hardened look.

“What is your damn problem?” I angrily ask. She scoffs,

“My problem is you kissed Hanni while dating Sunghoon, the one person I specifically told you wasn’t good enough for you.” I roll my eyes and groan loudly before brushing past her and walking towards my desk to remove my accessories.

“Here we go again! Why can’t you just mind your own business?” I ask. She snarls,

“I’m trying to stop you from looking like an international playgirl!” She yells out. I sarcastically laugh and turned to face her,

“Oh stop acting like you actually give a shit about me!” Her eyes widen in disbelief and goes to speak but I swiftly cut her off,

“You’re the one who asked me to go on a double date with you but the moment I do you continue you to bash me over and over again about my business with Sunghoon!” I yell out as I marched towards her.

“Then you confuse me even more by kissing me!” She hisses before striding towards me.

“Keep your voice down..” She angrily whispers.

“What? Afraid that they’d here that you kissed a woman?! Most specifically your ‘Favorite Unnie ?” I sarcastically ask with my voice increasing. All I was seeing was red and I couldn’t seem to stop. Haerin combs her fingers through in frustration.

“Shut up Minji!” She yells. I furiously shake my head,

“No! I’m tired Haerin! I’m so fucking tired of shutting my mouth and holding back!” I exclaim loudly as I took another step closer to her. She widens her eyes in surprise and quickly shut her mouth as she noticed the growing pain my eyes. I look down at her and gulped down a growing lump.

I’m done with lying.

“Please Haerin. I can’t hold it in anymore.”

No turning back now.

Haerin furrows her eyebrows,

“What’re you talking ab—”

“I’m in love with you.”
