The tension between them had reached its peak. Jungkook’s heart felt as if it were being pulled in two different directions, each tugging harder with each passing day. He couldn’t avoid it anymore — the weight of the unspoken words, the aching glances, the constant fight within him.
Jungkook couldn’t hide his emotions any longer. It was only a matter of time before he’d have to face his feelings for Taehyung and Jimin — and decide which one of them, if any, could truly have his heart.

The Studio – A Moment of Clarity
Jungkook sat alone in the art studio, the brush in his hand idle as he stared at the canvas before him. His mind was lost in the maze of his thoughts, and it was then that he realized the answer had always been right in front of him. He had been avoiding it, hoping time would heal everything, but it was only making things worse.
The door creaked open behind him. He didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. He could feel Taehyung’s presence — warm, unwavering, like a force of nature.
“Tae,” Jungkook said quietly, setting the brush down. “I can’t keep pretending.”
Taehyung stepped forward, his expression unreadable, though there was a flicker of concern in his eyes. “Pretending about what?”
Jungkook stood up and turned to face him, taking a deep breath. “That everything is okay. That I don’t feel… torn. That I don’t want to fix this.”
Taehyung’s brow furrowed. “Jungkook…”
“I care about you. I’ve always cared about you,” Jungkook confessed, his voice trembling. “But I also care about Jimin. And I don’t know how to choose between you two.”
Taehyung’s gaze softened, and he took a step closer. “You don’t have to choose, Kookie. You never did.”
Jungkook shook his head. “It’s not that simple. I can’t keep living in this limbo. I need to know what my heart truly wants.”

The Moment of Confrontation
It wasn’t long before Jimin joined them. He had been standing outside, listening. When he stepped in, his eyes met Taehyung’s for a brief moment before turning to Jungkook. The silence was deafening.
“I knew it,” Jimin said, his voice quiet but firm. “You’re struggling, aren’t you?”
Jungkook hesitated. “I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t pretend that this—” He gestured between the three of them, his voice cracking. “—doesn’t hurt.”
Jimin walked over and placed a hand on his shoulder. “We understand. You don’t have to choose right away. But you do need to be honest with us. Honest with yourself.”
Taehyung nodded, his expression calm. “Whatever you choose, we’ll still be here for you. But we can’t live in this space anymore, Jungkook. We can’t keep waiting, hoping that one day you’ll figure it out. We need to know where you stand.”
Jungkook’s heart thudded painfully in his chest. He could feel the pressure mounting, but it was the honesty he needed. There was no more avoiding the truth.

The Decision
Jungkook took a step back, his hand clutching at his chest as if it could help ease the ache. “I… I don’t want to hurt either of you. But I can’t keep pretending. I need to be honest, even if it means things will never be the same.”
He looked at Taehyung first, then at Jimin, each of them holding their breath, waiting for him to speak the words that would change everything.
“I can’t be with both of you,” Jungkook said softly, feeling a tear slip down his cheek. “But I know who I want to be with.”
Both Taehyung and Jimin looked at him, waiting for him to finish.
“I need time… but I’ve made my choice.” Jungkook swallowed hard, trying to steady his voice. “I want to be with you, Taehyung.”
Taehyung’s eyes widened, and a mixture of relief and pain flashed across his face. “Jungkook… you’re sure?”
Jimin stood silently behind them, his face a mixture of emotions — sadness, acceptance, and love. “I’ve known this moment was coming,” he whispered, though his voice trembled. “I love you, Kookie. I’ll always love you. And I want you to be happy, even if it’s not with me.”
Jungkook walked over to Jimin, pulling him into a tight hug. “I’m sorry, Jimin. I never wanted to hurt you. You’re my closest friend, and I’ll never stop caring about you.”
Jimin nodded against Jungkook’s shoulder, his voice barely audible. “I know. I know, Kookie.”

Aftermath
The room fell silent once more, each of them grappling with their emotions. Taehyung stepped forward and placed a hand on Jimin’s shoulder, offering him silent support.
“We’ll figure this out,” Taehyung said quietly. “We’ll make it work. We’re all too important to let this break us.”
Jungkook nodded, feeling the weight of the decision he had made. It wasn’t easy, but it was the first step toward finding peace.
“I’m sorry for making you both wait so long,” he whispered. “I didn’t know what I was doing.”
Jimin smiled faintly, though his eyes were still full of tears. “You don’t have to apologize. We’ll move forward together. Just promise me, you’ll never stop being honest with us.”
“I promise,” Jungkook said, finally feeling the relief he hadn’t realized he’d been seeking.
