"My legs are tireddddd..." Marina complained, trudging through the doors. "It feels like I've been walking forever!"

Ally, who was now grumpy, was getting a little annoyed with Marina's tone and attitude towards her and Tim. Sure, walking through all these doors really wasted energy, but hey, they were all doing it, so it didn't make sense for Marina to be the only one complaining.

"Marina, whatever you're feeling, we're feeling too," Tim spoke up. "I know it's been a long journey, but look, we're almost to door 100. Maybe we can rest then."

"And I'll be looking forward to that," Marina replied.

"Uhm...we're only at door 79..." Ally chipped in.

"Ally, wrong place, wrong time," Tim said, giving her a stare.

"Sorry..."

Ally went ahead and took the lead. She opened the next door, and just as she was about to step in, a distant rumbling sound started, scaring her. She jumped and quickly hid behind Tim, who was holding a flashlight.

Ally didn't know what had happened but suddenly, she was hugging Tim. However, he didn't seem to care all that much, as he was looking at Marina, who stepped into the room. The rumbling sound came again, followed by loud, heavy footsteps.

"Gosh, I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean to-" Ally managed to say as she felt her cheeks grow hot with embarrassment.

"Hey, calm down. It's fine, I don't...really mind." Tim replied, looking shy. "Come on, let's go. We can't just leave Marina in the dark like that," and with that, he took Ally's hand, and led her into the dark.

Ally was relieved that it was too dark for anybody to see her. She just knew her face was red. She just knew. She really needed to get out of this soon. Suddenly, she had a brilliant idea. She quickly let go of Tim's hand and pulled out her flashlight, shining the creature as it walked towards them. It seemed to be stunned as Ally shined her flashlight, and quickly stopped walking with an ear-deafening sound.

"RUN!" Ally yelled, grabbing Tim's wrist and leading him to where Marina was.

"Marina...are- are you okay?!" Ally asked, gasping for air.

"I'm fine," she replied, then squinted her eyes as Tim shined his flashlight on her. "Anyway, look! I found another one of these-"

Marina was abruptly cut off as the sound of the creature walking started up again. "Oh no.."

"Shoot," Tim said, then pulled out his flashlight and stunned the creature again. For the first time, Ally noticed how weird the creature looked. It had a candle for its head, it looked like a ginormous statue, and holy shoot, it was HUGE. Like, more than 18 feet tall, more than 3 times Ally's height(i actually spent time calculating this according to their document ok assuming the player is about 5'8 this is pretty accurate. before you say 'woah thats tall what about the candlebrutes?? theyre 7 TIMES TALLER THAN THE PLAYER which makes them about 40 feet tall assuming the player is the same height. ya theyre tall). It also had a large crack on its left side.

"So, Tim, you shine that light, me and Ally will just get out of here. I think you're fast enough to get away once you stop, so let's go." Marina said.

"But-" Ally began, but Marina grabbed her by her hair and started dragging her out of the room.

"Don't worry, I got this." Tim said, but just as he said that, the flame of its candle in its head turned blue, and that crack started glowing the same bright blue color. It instantly unfroze itself and charged at Tim, at speeds Ally hadn't seen it run before.

"TIM! RUN!" Ally yelled, wanting to go back to save him, but Marina grabbed her hand instead and just ran out of there.

"No time to save him! Let's go before we're next!" Marina said, looking around for the next door, cursing under her breath as she struggled to find it. But after a few more seconds, the door opened, and Ally braced herself for the blinding light after her eyes had adjusted to the darkness. Instead...the next room was just as dark as before.

"...Do you think the Candlebearer will be able to come in here?" Marina asked.

"...The what?"

"That's just what I'm calling it, because it bears a candle. So, do you think it can come in here?"

"...I hope not. I hope Tim is alive."

"...Yeah," Marina agreed, but less fervently.

After a few moments of waiting, Ally heard clunking footsteps, and the sound of the "Candlebearer" plunging its fist into the ground. I hope Tim wasn't under that. Then, quieter footsteps, and Tim ran into the room covered in blood.

"...Are we safe yet?" he asked weakly.

"Tim! Oh my god, are you hurt?" Ally asked worriedly.

"...We can worry about me later. Can it come in here?"

"We don't know." Marina said, and the three of them backed away from the entrance anxiously. "It's tall ass is probably too tall to fit through the doorway- OH NEVERMIND, RUN!" she screamed and ran as it ducked through the significantly shorter doorway and started coming towards them.

When Ally turned around, she saw the bright light of the next room flooding in, and she and Tim made a beeline for the door.

"...Can it come in now?" Ally asked.

They waited for a bit, but they didn't hear the footsteps anymore, and they had a universal sigh of relief.

"Now, about Tim. What happened to you?"

"...it kinda caught me. I managed to escape and dodge the attack a bit, but it still got my arm." he lifted up his right arm, which was...Ally didn't want to describe it. "...At least I'm left handed."

Marina sighed. "You have that medkit, don't you? Give it to me." She went over to Tim, searched his pockets, and pulled it out. Then she treated Tim's wound before standing back up. "You probably won't be able to use it for a bit, but at least you won't bleed out for now. Let's keep going."

Once Marina left, Ally turned her attention back to Tim. "...Are you okay?"

"...yeah."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm fine enough. Let's go, there's no time to waste."

Ally gave up and as she followed Marina into the next room, the door suddenly shut behind her, and instead of the number, that scribbly white face appeared again instead.

"Ever get the feeling something baad is gonna happen?" they said, giggling. "Well, you're right!"

Then the monstrous shark with half a billion eyes(it seemed to Ally) appeared in the window, but this time, instead of the green color, the eyes were red, and the door number shifted to a yellow color that was counting down slowly. It was currently 15, and Ally could hear the ticking of the seconds passing by. This time, it was harder to resist the urge to look at the shark, but Ally kept reminding herself that she couldn't, that she'd die.

"What the heck..." Marina muttered. "I have an idea." She walked over to a locker and got inside, but the voice spoke up again.

"STOP HIDING!" it demanded. The timer stopped, and Marina sighed, and got out of the locker, trying to shield her eyes.

3...2...1..the number went back to normal and Tim rushed headfirst towards the door, opening it, and the shark swam away again.

"What was that?" Ally asked, but she was ignored by the other two. Who is that weird scribbly face?

"...My head hurts," Tim complained.

"At least it'll distract you from your arm, let's go." Marina said, turning away and opening the next door.
