Annabeth Pov -  

I laughed as my boyfriend made a joke, "This is why I love you." He said,  I looked at him and that got me thinking, "Angelo, do you really love me?" he kept looking around the room, "Of course" he wouldn't even look at me. this party was honestly boring. I sighed, and decided to just tell him the truth.  

"I'm pregnant." He looked at me, and this man straight up laughed in my face. 

"I'm not the dad, who knows where you've been." My heart broke at the choice of his words, "I'm not some slut Angelo, you're the only one I've ever slept with" he just shook his head and kept laughing. "whatever Annabeth." My heart broke even more when I watched as he watched another women walk by, I saw the way he looked at her. I cleared my throat, "I can't do this anymore." 

I walked away from him, and went straight towards my best friend Jerek. "Jerek, is it alright If we leave early?" I asked, he nodded. He walked me towards the car, and he helped me buckle up. As soon as he closed the door, I started to cry.                       "It's okay Beth," he said. holding my hand, as he drove towards his house. "Jerek, I'm pregnant." he stopped the car, and looked at me. "Are you serious?" I nodded, even more nervous for my best friends reaction to it.  "Shut the fuck up, i'm going to be the best uncle!" he hugged me. 

I cried harder, happy that I actually had a good reaction to the little blessing i'm carrying.  "Don't worry Beth, I have your back in this okay?" I smiled, "At least he or she will have the best uncle to watch over her." we smiled, "Alright let's get home." 

*Time skip to a few months later* 

"Jerek, quit!" "I'm literally over here" he said, he was across the room. I sighed, "sorry, it's the-" "hormones? Yeah I know. No sweat Beth." I closed my eyes, it's been 8 months already, my baby bump wasn't as huge as I thought it would be. "Beth, you hungry?" he asked. I smiled, and nodded excitedly. "Yes!" he laughed as we walked so I can get some exercise in, we walked into our favorite restaurant. 

"How can I help you today?" The women said, she made eye contact with me and smiled kindly. She looked familiar, she looks a little like me? I raised a brow. "we would like two banana milk smoothies please." She smiled, and wrote them down. told us how much it was, and Jerek paid. "I'll be right with you" she said to other customers behind us. Jerek held my hand, and we started to walk back, "Excuse me!" we turned around to see the lady, "did we leave something?" I asked, "I just wanted to say that you look oddly familiar, have I seen you before?" I shook my head, "Um, no I think you have the wrong person." 

"oh my God, you're my kid!" Jerek and I made eye contact, "excuse me?" she looked around, "Oh would you look at the time, I must go I'm late for school!" she ran back, "Dan hold the fort!" "Of course Ally!" "Wait I need an explanation, you can just come chase us down, just to say you're my mom then leave please!" I shouted, she looked at me and sighed. "I'm sorry" she kept running away. 

"What the hell is her problem?" Jerek said, shaking his head. "Jerek, can you drive me home real quick?" "Of course babe" we walked back to his house, and got into his car and he drove me home. "Beth, maybe you should-" "Jerek, they lied to me." I opened the door. 

"Annabeth, what are you doing here? you're supposed to be in school!?" My mom said, "I just met my mother Ally, care to explain?" My heart felt like it was bursting out of my chest, my parents looked at each other. "We didn't want to hurt you" "So you kept the truth from me?" I sat down next to Jerek, who held my hand in comfort. 

"Okay, just give us a moment." Dad grabbed his laptop, and walked over towards us, he showed me a picture of Ally. "This is Ally rose, she's 19 years old, she's also a senior at your high school." "So this whole time, she's been at my school?" "Yes, when she was giving birth, she was in an accident, and was brought into a coma. When she woke up, you were already adopted."
