It was down to the last vote. Gihun was holding his breath as player 001 walked up to the buttons. It all came down to this, would they go home, or would they be stuck in this nightmare for another game? The vote was tied, 182 to 182, and the deciding factor was player 001. Could they really leave?
Of course not. How could he be so naive? Player 001 pressed the blue O, and half of the players in the room began to cheer as he pulled his hand away. After the voting, they would be eating, but Gihun couldn't bring himself to work up an appetite. He felt nauseous, he had entered this hell hole to save everyone, yet no one was listening to him.

Player 001 was glad things had worked out the way they had. He joined the games because of Gihun afterall, and what would happen if he couldn't keep messing with his favorite toy? He finally decided to approach the previous winner of the games, concocting the best way to start up a conversation. Gihun was talking to his friend, Jungbae, and how everyone from the previous games had died, when player 001 spoke up, "why don't you help us then?" He asked, "you said that you had been here before." He stated, before continuing to his next sentence, "You're the reason I ended up voting to stay." Player 001 admitted, hoping that this would really dig at Gihun's mind. Crush that determination, and hero complex that Gihun seemed to have. "It's true. After the first game I thought I was going to quit. And then I saw you. And I thought to myself, 'just one more, then I can go.'" Player 001 explained more in detail, wanting to drive it home that it was Gihun's fault that they were still there. Gihun had swayed a fellow player's mind, just in the opposite direction from what he wanted.

When others started agreeing, Player 001 felt this was a win, a small one, but he had beaten Gihun this time. He loved the hopeless look on the man's face as everyone talked. Next thing he asked was about game two, and Gihun explained that Dalgona was what he had played after Red Light Green Light. He explained that there had been four shapes, and when he mentioned the umbrella, Player 001 couldn't help himself, "Umbrella?" He said, scoffing after, almost like he was holding back a smirk or laugh. "What... so players actually picked umbrella? They had no idea what the game was, so I bet they were totally screwed. Right?" He commented, almost like he was trying to rub it in Gihun's face that he had been so stupid then. Gihun gave Player 001 a glance, one that was almost worthy of his sympathy.

"Wait." Someone else spoke up, it was player 388, "That means we all just have to pick the triangle. Everyone should be able to get through this one, right?" The old man, player 100 cut in, telling him to be quiet. He began talking about how they should keep it a secret so that others will die, and the prize money raises.
Gihun speaks up once everyone agrees to stay quiet, "We can't do that." Player 456 says. His self-righteousness makes Player 001 want to rip out his tongue, or maybe just tie him up, break that spirit of his in any way necessary. Player 001 didn't let the man leave his line of sight. "The only reason I am telling you this right now is because I wanna try to save everyone." He explained, well good job of that, he had already let 92 people die. "When I am positive that dalgona's the next thing we are playing, then I will tell every single person here what I just told you people." Gihun said as though it was a promise. The others leave out of frustration, but Player 001 stays standing there for a moment more, looking at Gihun, glancing down, letting his eyes wander for a moment before focusing them back on the man's face. He glances back at the others leaving, but only briefly, before turning his focus back to his biggest obstacle.

Player 001 can't help himself, he sits on the steps with Gihun and a person that seems to be his friend, player 390. "Why are you here? Why'd you come back?" Player 001 asks Gihun, his gaze never wavering. He liked to keep an eye on the man, for multiple reasons. He wanted to know what he was doing at all times, no exeption, but he also just enjoyed how the other man looked. Forming a companionship with Player 456 only meant that he could look at him longer, closer, and he could drink in every single detail, from the pores on his skin to the individual hairs on his head. "You said you won the game, made it out. That would mean you won 45.6 Billion won. Did you spend all of it already?" Player 001 asked.
