Hell... A bad place for the bad people. The worst of the worst. It's a land of fire, ash, and despair, where survival is a daily struggle.
The scene opens with a small, red demon walking through the hellish streets. This demon, named Richard, is unlike most others in Hell. He's small, with no wings, dressed in a simple white shirt and brown shorts. He carries a bag of groceries, stepping lightly on the scorched ground as he approaches a dilapidated building. The run-down apartment complex he calls home sits in the midst of the endless chaos of Hell.
Richard reaches the stairs of the building, each step creaking under his weight. He walks up to his room, Room 409, and unlocks the door. As he steps inside, a smaller demon darts out from behind a pillar, snatching the carton of milk from his bag and dashing away. Richard curses under his breath but knows better than to chase after the thief. Instead, he sighs and walks into his apartment.
The inside of Richard's room is simple, a bit messy but manageable. The room is clean enough to be comfortable, though the oppressive heat of Hell makes it unbearable at times. The constant heat causes rats and roaches to scurry across the floor, their presence an unfortunate norm. Richard places his groceries on the counter and flops down on the couch, staring up at the ceiling. His life has been quiet, a life away from the warfare and chaos that consumes the rest of Hell. But it's also a life of isolation.
Suddenly, his phone rings, jolting him from his thoughts. He checks the caller ID: "Incoming Call: Berry." His eyes widen in surprise. Berry, his cousin, who he hasn't seen in eight years.
"Huh?" Richard answers the phone cautiously. "Yes?"
On the other end of the line, Berry's voice is frantic. "Ohhh hey cousin! So funny story, I'm in some trouble with some really bad people and getting shot at! Could I maybe go to your place? Got kicked out of some family's house... uh... THANKS, BYE!!!" Before Richard can respond, Berry hangs up.
Richard is left in stunned silence. "Berry?" He wonders aloud. A moment later, gunshots ring out outside his window, snapping Richard into action. He rushes to the blinds, peering out into the street. He sees shadows moving quickly—whoever is after Berry is close.
Panic surges through him. He grabs the dresser near his door and pushes it against it, blocking it just in time as there's a loud knock on the door. "Berry, come on!" Richard yells, rushing to open the door.
Berry bursts in, panting heavily, his clothes torn and dirty. Without missing a beat, he rushes to help Richard push the dresser into place, sealing the door. The pounding from outside continues, and Richard's heart races.
"They're coming! What now?" Richard asks, his mind scrambling for a solution.
Berry, as calm as he can manage in this situation, looks around the room. "So hey, cousin! Uhm, we really gotta get out of here. Is there some sort of fire exit?" He pauses, realizing where they are. "Wait, we're in Hell, so... uh, the window! Let's go!"
Without another word, Berry swings open the window and jumps out, calling for Richard to follow. Richard hesitates, looking around, unsure of the situation. But before he can make up his mind, Berry grabs him and pulls him through the window.
The two demons make their escape, running down the street of Hell. The constant heat and smoke fill the air, the sight of distant fires flickering like distant stars in the sky. They run without speaking, the adrenaline pushing them forward.
After what feels like an eternity, Richard's legs begin to ache. He gasps for air, exhaustion catching up with him. "Huff... Huff... Are we there yet? Where are we even going?" he asks, his voice breathless.
Berry glances over his shoulder and then stops, catching his breath. "Wait, we lost them, finally!"
Richard frowns. "Who are they? And wait... I haven't seen you in..."
Before Richard can finish, a voice cuts him off. From the shadows of the street ahead, a figure steps forward—an angel. Angelo, the blue-haired angel from Heaven, points an angelic spear directly at Richard, his trembling voice filling the air.
"Hey! Y—you back up now," Angelo commands, his voice laced with fear and uncertainty.
Richard freezes, raising his hands slowly. He backs up cautiously, putting distance between himself and Angelo. Berry follows suit, stepping back as well.
"Hey... who even are you?" Richard asks, confused. "Why do you have a weapon?"
Before Angelo can respond, his friends—Auriel and Cassiel—run up to him, shouting, "Hey! Get them, c'mon!" But before they can do anything, a loud explosion rips through the air. BOOM! The ground shakes violently, and the force of it sends everyone stumbling.
When the dust clears, Richard and Berry, still recovering from the shock, look at the scene before them in horror. Cassiel, one of Angelo's friends, is now a pile of ash, consumed by the blast.
Auriel, devastated by the loss of his friend, falls to his knees, tears streaming down his face. Angelo, in a daze, falls backward, scooting away from the blast zone. In his panic, he accidentally bumps into Richard. Angelo pauses, catching his breath, and then shrugs, attempting to downplay the situation.
"Ugh, well... I mean, if you were an enemy, you would've killed me already..." Angelo mutters, standing up and extending his hand to Richard. The two demons exchange a reluctant handshake, the moment strange and brief.
Auriel, still crying, stands and looks at Angelo. "Well, uhm, guess we gotta part ways, so... uh, bye?" he says quietly.
Angelo, silent for a moment, turns away, heading down the street with Auriel following him. But before he walks too far, Auriel calls out. "So, you're not going to kill him?"
Angelo doesn't respond, his mind clearly distracted by the recent loss of his friend, Cassiel. The weight of the battle ahead seems to hang in the air as they disappear into the distance.
Richard, still trying to make sense of what happened, slowly begins walking away, casting a final glance at Angelo. Berry, noticing his distraction, grabs Richard's shoulder and pushes him forward.
"Come on! We gotta get out of here! Remember, we're being chased by crazy people!?" Berry says urgently.
Richard nods, following Berry as they move quickly down the street. The scene fades out, and the camera cuts to Angelo and his friends, walking down a desolate street after having dealt with another group of demons.
As Richard and Berry disappear into the distance, the camera pans upward to the dark, fiery sky of Hell, the tension and danger ever-present. The episode ends with a sense of uncertainty, leaving the fate of everyone involved hanging in the balance.
