Ow my head, Where the heck am I, I look around to see an open grass field as I feel the breeze of the wind, I look around wondering how the hell I got here, I look around panicking to see if my grandparents are here but I don't see them I hold in my anxiety so I can stay calm and figure out how I got here. As I'm thinking I notice that I'm on a little grassy hill so at least I get a small vantage point.

I see a middle-aged-looking man walking to me as I hear them call me.

Hey, do you know how we got here?

No, I don't know how we got here.

I don't know if I should trust him at least for the moment, but he seems like a nice man right now, so I will trust him but I will still be cautious.

I was gonna ask you the same question until you told me that, I have no idea how I got here to begin with,
(He is not as anxious but he is also a lot more calm)

Well if neither of us know then I guess we can get to know each other for now,

Well, I'm 17 years old, and I'm also trying to make friends with people I get along with also how old are you just a question I have.

If I'm correct I'm 45, I'm way too focused on my family and all that, so I've lost count a few times but I did just remember it.

While George and James kept talking A lady and girl walked up the little hill they were talking on after a while of talking George noticed the lady.

(She said as she was scared and not paying attention to her daughter)

Well, I don't have an answer for that and neither does this kid.
(James pov)
As they were talking I noticed a girl behind the lady she looked around my age from the looks and she had brown hair and she was wearing very old and dirty clothes, and her hair was just not neatly put together, she looked like she tried to keep it neat but she can't, if her hair was washed a little bit more it would look good on her.
(George)
The last thing I was doing before I was here was that I went to sleep after checking on my corps and next thing you know I woke up here in this forest.
(He said in a little less anxious tone)

Oh ummm, what was I last doing, yeah I don't remember but please tell me you guys can help me find shelter or something like that.

We could but we should also bring your daughter with us.
(Maddie just remembered that her daughter is here with her)

Yeah, we should definitely find a way to find shelter around here.
(She says a lot less scared but In a more annoyed tone)

I'm doing just fine but I was hoping I could find people to trust but you guys aren't trustworthy so now I will leave unless you can take care of me and my needs George why don't you leave this dumb kid, I already have a daughter to deal with I don't want to deal with another kid.

No, it's complicated since the girl looks around your age she must've had the baby when she was 16 or 17 which is pretty complicated I hope she knew how to take care of her daughter but from the looks of it, it doesn't seem so (he said a little bit too loud).

I'll have you know I took care of my daughter really well so don't go assuming you old fart, Amy go find something to do,

Amy!!! Go find something to do before I find a way to get rid of your god-awful hair.
(Amy gets scared and runs towards a tree hitting it then hiding behind it)

Hey Maddie can we talk for a moment
(James POV)
I look to George and he is telling me to go talk to the girl to see if she is ok.
(James walks towards Amy while George talks to Maddie about something)

(Amy looks away in fear thinking it's her mother)

Hey calm down your mother isn't here she can't hurt you
(Amy calms down when she realizes it isn't her mother)

(She said in a shaky tone)

What has this girl been through for her to be like this I feel bad for her, I need to help her.

Hey Amy are you okay, we can talk your mom can't hear us she is talking to George so she can't hear you.

Oh well um, how has your day been?

My day has been okay I'm still wondering how I even got here to begin with but what about you?

I'm alright I'm not really used to talking to others but you seem different.

I don't know, but my mom is well not the best before we somehow got here she was gonna do something bad to me but I wanna stand up for myself but I just can't
(She said in a scared tone)

(Amy stopped crying and the sentence after she was gonna say it)

(James doesn't notice but Amy's mom is behind him)

Amy come with me we are going somewhere to talk.
(Amy gets up and follows her)

(Amy goes towards her mom until)
(James grabs he hand and whispers to her)
Hey Amy I know you're not doing the best but you should find a way out of this, and if you won't then I will help okay (smiles)
(Amy looked shocked but she shook her head in a yes, they walked away from James, and then he looked at George again and went up to him to talk.
(George)
So what did you get from Amy?
(James)
She needs help because her mother treats her horribly from what I got, she was shaking when I first talked to her but she was ok when talking with me but she was afraid when her mother was behind me she was shaking but still listened to her.
(George)
I thought so you should find a way of convincing her to let you have her daughter it shouldn't take much effort due to the way she treats her.
(James)
I want to help her badly.
(George)

(While they discuss a plan, back with Amy and her mother)
(Maddie)
Amy, what did I say about talking to strangers?

But James isn't a stranger he is the nicest person I met.
(Maddie walks up to Amy, Amy tries to block her face with her hand but Maddie grabs her hand and holds it while with her other hand, she slaps her daughter Amy falls to the floor holding her cheek in pain she is starting to cry then her mom says something)
(Maddie)
Spoiled brat I should've never had you.
(James)
Hey, stop!!!
(Maddie)
Huh, the kid what do you want I'm talking to my daughter.
(Amy)
James?!
(James walks to Maddie and is right in front of her)
(James)
Hey leave her out of this, I wanna talk to you about something, (whispers) I know how you treat your daughter how about I make you a deal leave your daughter with Me because I know you don't give a damn about her, but you know what I do care about Amy so what do we have a deal.
(Amy)
James.
(She says shocked)
(Maddie)
You know what since I don't care about it yeah why not I can find something else to do around here, Amy you can leave with this person I don't want to see you again.
(Amy is shocked but she runs overslipping a little bit as she gets to James and they watch as her mom walks away and Amy breaks into tears)
(Amy)
She is finally gone
(She is crying profusely)
(James)
Hey don't cry you are safe now, no one can hurt you anymore.
(Amy)

No problem I will always help my friend
(After James said that she went and hugged him and after that he looked at her and she was already asleep)

(Smiles) She needs sleep. I'm glad it turned out well for her. Now I can help her get adjusted to our situation.
(George)
I'm Glad we were able to get Amy away from her mother her mother was not the best parent to her.
(As they look up they see the sun is setting which means they may need to set up camp for the night)
(James)
So I think I can get the campfire going, but getting a way for us to sleep may be the most difficult part of this,
Since I don't have a way for us to sleep unless we have a blanket or something.
(George)
You kids can use my blanket, which I have in my backpack. I was going to take it to go camping, but I think you guys need it more than I do, so take it.
(James)

I'm going to find my family so I wish you luck I normally wouldn't leave you alone but I can trust you kids right James?
(James)
Yeah, but first, I'm going to find a way to help Amy get adjusted to whatever we are. She does get a new beginning, and I wish you luck finding your family, George.

(James)

(George walks away while James sets up the campfire after he sets it up he lays the blanket out lays Amy on it and lets her sleep)
(James pov)
Hmm, I guess this is a new start for me and Amy well l'll head to bed now.
(James lays down next to Amy she is asleep already and James falls asleep soon after as well)

Well that's all of this chapter I'm making shorter chapters for this side project of mine I made this with the help of at least a few of my friends it was a fun project I'm doing chapter 2 don't know when it will come out I don't know maybe next week hard to say
