I need y'all to find a fake name (F/N) you wanna use. It's gonna be used in the beginning of this story, but don't worry! It won't be long before you get to use (Y/N) again!
"Optimus!" I yelled as shots were being fired. The Autobots were taking heavy fire while we all ran. "Sam! (Y/N)! Get to cover!" Ratchet yelled. Sam grabbed my arm and dragged me along as Carly screamed. "No!" I yelled, fighting the tears in my eyes. Bumblebee was close behind, doing his best to protect us.
"Autobots, this is a direct order; do not engage in battle against the humans!" I heard Optimus yell. "Until further notice, you are to go into hiding!"
My eyes shot open as I felt my heart beat heavily in my chest. "Again?" I whispered to myself as I sat up in my small bed and reached for my glass of water. After a few sips, I sighed and looked around the small attic that had become my bedroom. Even in the dark, it was easy to see there wasn't much here, other than my bed and a small drawer where I had some clothes.
With a sigh I laid back in bed, closing my eyes and hoping to get some more sleep. "Please... be safe guys..." I whisper to myself as I close my eyes.

The next day, I woke up to my alarm. I hit the button on the old clock, making the beeping stop and sat up with a groan. Running my hands over my face, I got up and grabbed some clothes before I went down to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
"Good morning, (F/N)." Cade Yeager, the man who took me in four years ago, greeted with a smile as he handed me a cup of coffee. "Good morning, Cade." I say with a small smile before giving a soft "Thanks." for the cup of coffee. "Tessa is already on her way to classes I assume?" I ask as I lift the cup to my lips.
"Yup. And I need you to go to the local theatre with me today? The place has gone bankrupt and is selling stuff for literally nothing." Cade said, excitement clear in his voice. I give a nod. "Sure thing, boss." I say with a smile as I take another sip of my coffee. I saw Cade roll his eyes. "Stop calling me that." He said as he gently pushed my shoulder. "It's true though." I say with a chuckle. "You just pay me by letting me live here." I add. "Unlike Lucas, who -by the way- is going to ask if he gets paid today." I remind him as I finish my cup before I go to wash it in the sink. Cade groaned. "Don't, just don't remind me just yet." I chuckled as I sat my cup to the side to dry and stretched my arms above my head with a sigh. "Let me just brush my teeth and I'll be ready." I say before I go back up to the bathroom.
About 30 minutes later, we were in town, waiting for Lucas to arrive. I was staring out into nothing when I saw Lucas' black Morris Mini arrive and park while he was singing a song. "Oh, look who finally decided to show up for work." Cade grumbled, making me sigh and step out of the car. "I'm a heartbreaker! Gonna make you cry!" Lucas sang so loud i was pretty sure the entire town could hear him. He finally turned off his car and got out, grabbing a toolbox as he approached us. "What, surf report no good at South Padre?" Cade ask as we walked over to Lucas."The waves are flat and I got no gas. You know that, Cade." Lucas answered in a matter of factly tone as he crossed the road, having to stop as a small truck with pigs drove past him. I shook my head and watched on as Lucas basically drooled over to young women walking past him. "Whoo! My, my!" He said with a smile, lifting his sunglasses to give them a better look. "You're such a dog." I dead panned, my mind flashing to the time I had called Sam that when Ratchet had exposed he "Wanted to mate" with Mikaela. I felt my heart clench but ignored it as I plastered a smile on my face. "Hey, you're paying me on this one, right, Cade?" Lucas asked as he handed the tool box over to Cade. "Please tell me I'm getting paid." Lucas whined. "You know, Lucas, a lot of guys are just happy to have a job at all." Cade half snapped at him. I furrowed my brows in a slight confusion. 'But usually having a job at all still means getting paid...' I thought to myself. "Just look at (F/N)." Cade said, pointing at me, making me smile awkwardly. "Four years and she hasn't complained once." Cade huffed. "Yeah, I suppose." Lucas muttered. Cade nodded and took off his sunglasses. "You got any cash on you?" He asked Lucas. "Yeah." Lucas answered. "All right, good." Cade said and started walking towards an old local theatre.
