The Threat Within
The atmosphere in the mansion grew tense after the note arrived. Security was tightened, with guards patrolling day and night. Sarang, however, was unaware of the true danger surrounding her.
One afternoon, while playing with the dogs in the garden, she noticed Jungkook standing by the window, his eyes locked on her. His expression was unreadable, but his presence felt protective.
Sarang (smiling): "Jungkook-ssi, you should come outside! The sun feels amazing today."
Jungkook (shaking his head): "Stay where the guards can see you."
Her smile faltered, sensing the tension in his voice. She didn't push further but couldn't help wondering what was troubling him.

A Growing Connection
As days passed, Jungkook's watchfulness only increased. He began accompanying Sarang on her walks around the mansion, though he always kept his distance.
One evening, Sarang found Jungkook in the training room, practicing his strikes on a punching bag. She hesitated before stepping in.
Sarang: "Jungkook-ssi, is something wrong?"
Jungkook (gruffly): "Nothing you need to worry about."
Ignoring his dismissive tone, she walked closer.
Sarang: "You don't have to tell me everything, but... if something's bothering you, I'm here."
For a moment, Jungkook paused, his fists lowering.
Jungkook (softly): "Why do you care so much? You owe me nothing."
Sarang (smiling faintly): "You saved me, even if you don't realize it. I just want to do the same for you."
Her words left him speechless. For the first time, he felt a warmth he couldn't explain.
