For the dandelions that are swept by the wind.

It's unimaginable how a small town can bear hectares of dandelions. Numerous passersby never miss a chance to take a visit, especially during spring or fall, when the flowers are in full bloom. It may be a famous tourist destination, but for Nari, it's a sanctuary.

The field of dandelions isn't that far from the school Nari attends to. In fact, it can be viewed from the bridge of the route she takes. And every time she passes by in her bicycle, she watches how the flowers start first as green stems to yellow flowers until they become white fragile bristles that are easily swept by the slightest breeze.

It's rare for the field to be empty of people. Whenever it does happen, Nari takes full advantage of walking through the little spaces between the flowers, a ray of bristles following her as she goes. The flowers are tilted on the direction of the wind and are dancing to the sound of her humming. As the sun meets the horizons, orange hue sets the place with warmth. Its warmth gently felt on her face despite the cool wind brushing against her.

It's pure serenity.

Over the years, Nari has secured a spot in the field where it is rarely visited by passersby. It's a small clear spot on a hill under a tree. The ground is elevated, allowing Nari to have a view of the fields while lying down. A long sigh escaped her as she crossed her arms behind her head.

It's fall season.

And not a single wish of hers was granted yet.

She extends her arm to reach for a fallen flower that happens to land on her. She gently blew on its petals and watched it get taken away by the breeze.

"Ah.. I thought wishing on every one of you will make it true." she murmured.

That you'll be mine.

Another sigh left her before closing her eyes. This year is his last year in highschool. Nari has little time left to tell him everything, but she can't seem to bring herself to do so.

How could she?

When he's already someone else's dandelion.

"Hey, Nari! Is your sister home?"

Sunghoon just had to give her those captivating eyes. He comes knocking to their door and she always get the door for him. He stands on their porch in his black trousers and unbuttoned long sleeves polo with a white inner. His fringe neatly styled back, exposing his forehead. And a sweet smile on his lips-- his best wear.

Such presence before her was enough to put her heart on an endless race. There's just something in Sunghoon that is so charismatic.

"Oh, Hana is still in the shower. She'll come out soon. C-come in." Nara said, stuttering. She tried her best not to look too flustered, but she knew her red cheeks blew it away.

"Thanks," He only looked at her briefly before entering the house.

He's a usual at the house since he's a childhood friend of Nari and Hana— and is living across their house. He's also in Hana's friend circle. At first, there were over five people coming over, then it came down to three people, until it was only Sunghoon who keeps on visiting. Even on weekends, when there is nothing academically related thing to do, Sunghoon is at their place, either playing with Hana or watching movies with her. Surely, they are the best friends in their circle.

Nari, as the younger sibling of two years, she finds herself forcing to be part of that friendship.

When they were young, Nari would typically join their games and watch movies with them, until one day realized that she was just tagging along. The older they got, the more unwelcomed she felt. And so, after some time, Nari would retreat to her room and try not to mind them.

However, it didn't stop her heart from growing fonder.

Having Sunghoon at their house almost everyday was not for the faint of heart. Everything was alright until smiles turned into parted lips. Smooth waters began to create ripples. Laughter turned into music. Gaze brought warmth.

Nari was catching feelings.

And ever since that day, she began wishing on dandelions.

Nari woke up from her daydream at the sound of ruffling like footsteps. Someone was approaching.

She quickly stood up and dusted her clothes. A figure stood a few yards from her, the sunset hitting one side of his face. He was at a distance enough for her to have a glimpse of his eyes reflecting a lighter shade of brown. His brows are slightly furrowed, recovering from a squint. He didn't say a word and just gave her a soft stare.

Bristles of the flowers from his path surrounded him, almost seemingly like he was sent by these flowers.

Nari can only stand there and wonder why he was there. "Jungwon."

Nari felt a leap in her heart as Jungwon walked towards her, which was confusing. Because Nari knows well... that he wasn't the man she wished on the dandelions for.
