Megan's POV

When you're alone you tend to detach from things especially people who you consider unworthy of your space and time.

You become so use to being alone that you detach from the things you once loved but didn't make you who you are today that's until I seen the prettiest girl in the world

I work as a Building Engineer at Sojourner Truth School of the future it pays well so why not? a job is a job cause the way the cost of living is and the economy and to look good asf outside of here costs money especially for my prince he deserves the world

"Good afternoon Ms.Pete how are you today?" The tall platinum blond haired woman asked me

"I'm well Ms.Knowles how are you?" I asked her not missing a beat

"I hope for better days but thank you for asking question are you coming to the staff Christmas party" She asked with her hand on her hip locking eyes

"Ummm I'm not sure I have to check my schedule" 

"Well I hope you do it seems like everyone has fun when you are around even though you be actin all shy and distant" she said before walking away heading to her office

As the day went on I couldn't quite figure out what it was about that woman but everything about her made my heart race

School has ended my work load is done  so now it's time for me to punch out and go home to see my big baby but I gotta stop somewhere first and check on some stuff

As I made my way to my car I seen the beauty who runs the school it was looking like she was having car trouble

"Hey Ms.Knowles everything good?" I asked before getting in my car that is not parked far from her

"Hey Megan no my damn car won't start and I'm going to be late to my appointment" she said sad I noticed her looking overwhelmed

"Would you like a ride or do you need to call someone and I'll wait with you" I asked

"Wait really? You would take me where I need to go?"  She asked with some shock 

"Yes come on hop on in" I unlocked my doors and got in as I waited for her to lock her car and get into mine I don't know where this burst of confidence came from but it's something about her

"Damn this car is nice I see you Burgundy interior very cutesy" she spoke admiring my Benz

All I could do is laugh cause I know she be on TikTok who doesn't besides myself

"Hey don't be one of them people who think just cause I'm a building engineer that I'm broke" I burst out laughing 

"Chile I highly doubt you are broke if you ask me you guys gotta put up with a lot of stuff so i know they pay y'all well"

"Well yeah true but this isn't my only gig" I said with a smirk" putting my eyes on the road

She put the address in my gps and we headed there, we talked and laughed for a while until the phone rang

"Is it okay that I take this?" I asked

"Yea sure" she said taking her phone out I'm guessing to scroll social media 

"Hey mama may I go to the park with Aiden and his family?

"Is your homework done?"

"Yes ma'am"

"Okay make sure you wear a coat it's cold ok?"

"Ok thanks mom I love you"

"I love you too have fun"
