Chapter One - Part Three

* Jockington: We explored the place, then a random guy started to attack us! Using magic at that!

* Asriel: Magic...? Then... where's Kris and Frisk?

* Temmie: t-they let us and tem escape first, but...

* Asriel quickly realized the situation they are in, and started to rush towards where the gang escaped from, hearing sounds of battle on where the shack was formerly located, seeing Kris and Frisk fighting for their lives against a powerful enemy, recognizing the threat as a Monster, from his parents' legends and stories, told from their ancestors.

* Asriel: N-no way... a Monster... in all years of them being sealed and defeated... why appear now...?

* Asriel's body trembles from fear, knowing his parents and ancestor's fears has finally come to life, but, seeing Kris and Frisk fighting to keep the Monster away from the town, even if they sustained some heavy damages, he wants to help them, but, he doesn't to be a burden to the both of them...

* As he gritted his teeth out of frustration, his body scared to move, yet he wants to help them badly, he has to make a decision here. To help them, or to watch them die, as panic and anger rushed towards his head, he doesn't know what to do...

* Suddenly...

* ???: What are you standing for, crybaby?

* Asriel: ?!

* As Asriel turned around, his surroundings started to freeze, stopping time entirely, as he saw a flower, a talking flower, a being formed from his own frustration, hatred, and hidden wickedness, hidden from everybody, ever since his parents started to divorce, seperated when he was young, with only Chara at his side.

* Asriel: Y-you...

* Flowey: Is that what you call your old pal? Or, should I say, the other you that you hid from everybody else?

* Asriel: I h-have nothing to say to you...

* Flowey: Buuuttttt, you do need me, for this... situation that your kids are in.

* Asriel: ...

* Flowey: Hehehehe.. You can't deny it, couldn't you?
You need my power to destroy the thing that threatens your new family, to never make the mistake that our parents did.
Just say the word, and I'll do the work for you, deal?~

Asriel: ....

Flowey: Think about it!~ You are completely useless because you don't have magic nor a Soul Ability! You'll only become a massive burden, I'll tell ya'.

* Asriel started to think about Flowey's offer...
He does want to protect his new family, but...
In exchange for control?

* Asriel: ...

* Flowey: So... What say you, buddy?

* Asriel: ..Haha..

* Flowey: Hm..?

* Asriel... started to chuckle, as Flowey was confused as to why he chuckled in the first place, he continued to chuckle, as it breaks into laughter.

* Flowey started to get concerned towards Asriel's... sudden behaviour.

* Did he lose his mind? He wondered, as Asriel stopped laughing all together, Asriel started to approach Flowey, kneeling down towards him as Flowey started to get aggressive, thinking that he was about to harm him but...

* He just... patted Flowey, with a solemn yet relieved smile towards the talking flower.

* Asriel: I have been neglecting you this entire time, huh..?
Must've been lonely...
