part 2 - The Blockchain And Three Days Of Fire

The origins of NATO

As you may have found out before, this world is not inhabited by horrendous cryptids as NATO wants everyone to believe, but those are normal creatures known as animals. The idea behind of this lie is to keep humans enclosed within cities’ boundaries. Meanwhile the reptilians, an alien species which gave NATO the technology to control people's minds, occupies the rest of the countryside areas in exchange.

Reptilians love hot weather and are cold blooded by nature so they occupy most lands below the 60th parallel both North and South. Nevertheless the history is different for each of those borders. While in the south NATO peacefully retreated to Antarctica (taking most of the population outside cities with them, making Antarctica the most populated continent on Earth) as their main base under their fully control, the Northern Federation was military defeated by NATO in several wars following reptilian orders until we had to pull back all the way to the 60th parallel north.

During that same time a new organization was created, with it's new headquarters in the Antarctic peninsula and the task of enforcing a new world order after the takeover of the reptilians, the Nations of the Antarctic Treaty Organization (NATO) was created as an entity that encompassed almost all the old Nations of Earth. They decided to make the rose of winds their emblem as a sign of the seas of the blue planet representing all mankind in a single entity, well at least all the ones who used brain chips.

Reptilians also allowed NATO to keep control of all existing urban areas on Earth outside Antarctica without giving permission to create more. This made each city an isolated island only connected to other urban areas by railroads, which are also under NATO's jurisdiction. At the same time all humans who refused to use the brain chips imposed by NATO seek refuge in the North, due to this all the ones who fled north and the ones already living there unified in one nation, now known as the Northern Federation which extends from the north pole to the 60th parallel.

The north is still controlled by a society of free humans where the use of brain chips and android prosthetics is not allowed. This comes to a cost though, we lack access to reptilian technology and without the use of brain implants we think and move slower and less efficiently.

Nevertheless we won't exchange any of our beloved human brothers with the reptilians for some of technology, that's why we have lost so many wars to them to the point of being pushed back to the Northern tip of Asia, Europe and North America, but is that's not enough, there is a famous declaration of one of NATO's generals who said “We will drown you all in the Artic sea one day”

Then I decide to intervene

But if you're behind NATO both in technologically and militarily how do you expect to win this time.

Thank God you asked, well, we have recovered and boosted an old technology from the 21th century, it's called Blockchain and we expect that with your help we’ll be able to put this system online and undermine NATO's control over the neuronal internet and finally defeat them, not only militarily but also striking at the same foundations of the centralized government.

Blockchain? I’ve never heard about that, do you know something of this Plus?

I think it was an old technology that got prohibited a long ago due to lack of government regulation methods, they were so disappointed at the fact that they couldn't control the network that even tried to shut down the entire internet to put it down, but that was totally imposible of course. If I remember week they mentioned in a book that it disappeared before the beginning of the 22nd century.

Then Anon suddenly stops me

It's not like that quite. It didn't disappeared at any moment from it's creation to this moment, it was only hidden from the public using a system that prevented the same mention of the Blockchain to be allowed in the internet, it got so hard to get information about it that people began to forget about the system, but enough remained to keep the network running until this same day. Blockchain cannot be destroyed, it is fueled by investors greed and their urge to destroy the banking system to create a decentralized and fair economic system.

Blockchain is not like most other networking systems which have a central server or database. The chain of blocks uses a decentralized network where millions of nodes store a similar copy of the data.

But wait, why would you want to have the same copy of a piece of data distributed across a giant red of nodes.

Easy peasy my masked friend, each node is a computer and each computer stores an entire copy of the Blockchain, having so many copies distributed across the world in countless computers makes the information there impossible to control, destroy or modify. The information is not owned by anyone, instead it's a shared consensus.

I interrupt for a second

I don't understand, how this can help us fight against NATO? Well we have an indestructible piece of information to work with, and then what?

Well Plus, I guess you have noticed that not only historical records, but also elections results, bank balances and even your own perception of reality and animals has been changing constantly without a coherent explanation. NATO can do this because they control the network, the servers and the databases it needs to function. Everyone's minds is bounded to their limitations, whims and version of truth, this is all the version that NATO wants everyone to believe.

Oh, now I remembered, Blockchain was originally intended to undermine the banking system.

Yes, exactly, banks shouldn't be bailouted by the government, they are private institutions who are supposed to show some competence or die out as any other company, but sometimes it seems like they're too big to fall, as a common saying of the year 2008 claims.

As I was saying, all started with the financial crisis of 2008, most banks all over the old NATO organization were bailouted by the government even though they themselves had created the bubble that ignited all the disaster. Now I wonder if you have ever heard about this person named Satoshi Nakamoto.

Wait, wait, wait, are you talking about the Satoshi Nakamoto that created Bitcoin? That man is a legend. NATO has been trying to destroy his creation for centuries but it hasn't been possible. Bitcoin, as well as well as other cryptocurrency such as Ethereum, Polkadot, Monero, Ada, Bitcoin Cash to mention some are the most used cryptocurrency just behind the official NATO currency in their own black market.
