The small town of Udaigarh had never seen a storm like this-not one of thunder or rain, but of flashing cameras and raised voices. Outside the gates of YN's orphanage, a sea of reporters swarmed, their microphones extended like weapons.

Inside the orphanage's modest office, YN stood frozen. Her heart pounded as the accusations echoed in her mind: "Selling girls? Me? How could anyone believe such a lie?"

Her grip tightened around the wooden desk, her knuckles turning white. Behind her, the children she had cared for, loved, and protected peeked through the half-open door, their innocent faces painted with fear.

The door burst open. In walked a tall, commanding figure dressed in a crisp police uniform. His badge glinted in the sunlight that streamed through the window. DGP Tahir Rathore. His dark eyes scanned the room, locking onto YN with a mix of authority and something unspoken-a flicker of recognition he quickly masked.

"YN," he began, his voice steady but firm, "you are under arrest for allegations of human trafficking. Please cooperate."

The words struck her like a blow. YN's breath caught in her throat, but she refused to show weakness. "These allegations are false," she said, her voice steady despite the storm brewing inside her. "I've dedicated my life to protecting these children."

Tahir didn't flinch, though something about her unwavering gaze unsettled him. She was no criminal; he could see it in her eyes, but the evidence brought to his desk told a different story. And yet... there was something familiar about her.

As the officers began to handcuff her, the children burst into the room, clinging to her legs and pleading, "Don't take her! She's our Ma!" Their cries cut through the tension like a knife.

Tahir hesitated. For a brief moment, the stern mask slipped, replaced by a shadow of doubt. He signaled his team to pause.

"Ma'am," he said quietly, leaning closer so only she could hear, "if this is a misunderstanding, I'll find the truth. But for now, I have a job to do."

YN met his gaze, her lips pressed into a firm line. "Do your job, DGP. But I swear on my life, I will prove my innocence."

As they escorted her out, the cameras flashed wildly, reporters shouting questions. YN kept her head high, her dignity intact despite the humiliation.

But Tahir couldn't shake the nagging feeling in his chest. And why did the pain in her eyes feel so personal?
