Scrap metal as a renewable resource is becoming increasingly important against the backdrop of dwindling mineral resources. Although China has a vast territory, its non-ferrous metal resources are not sufficiently abundant and require imports to meet the needs of economic development. At the same time, casual disposal of scrap metal and non-metal materials causes environmental pollution and wastes limited metal resources. Efficient and energy-saving metal and non-metal separation equipment—— comes into play.

Eddy Current Sorting Machine is mainly used for the separation of copper, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals from industrial solid waste such as electronic waste, scrap plastic doors and windows, and end-of-life vehicles. After crushing by a shredder, the scrap material is magnetically separated to remove iron, and the non-ferrous metals and plastics are separated by the Eddy Current Sorting Machine to obtain the final non-ferrous metals and plastics.

The Eddy Current Sorting Machine Has High Sorting Efficiency

Eddy Current Sorting Machine is a multi-purpose crushing and separation equipment with a high degree of automation. It uses the principle that conductors can generate induced eddy currents in a high-frequency alternating magnetic field. According to this principle, the equipment generates a high-frequency alternating strong magnetic field on the surface of the sorting magnetic roller during operation. When a metal block enters the strong magnetic sorting area, eddy currents are induced within it. The magnetic field generated by the eddy currents has an opposite direction to the original magnetic field, creating a repulsive force. This repulsive force can propel metal pieces with high conductivity forward, achieving separation. The main criterion for differentiation is the ratio of the material's conductivity to its density, with materials having higher ratios being easier to separate than those with lower ratios.
