"Mom! I wanna become a human!" I cried
"No Marina! And that's final!"
I swam out of our little coral cave. By now it's already dusk and I was swimming through the marsh when I saw this nice white boat! I went to go and check it out not paying attention to who might see me.
I was fiddling with the wheel when I felt something touch my tail making me scream and turn around.
"Who are you?!" I questioned panicked making the boy grow pale
"Listen you can't say anything to anyone! Humans aren't supposed to know that I'm down here! Please!" I begged making the boy nodded frantically, "listen I'm Marina"
The boy was doing hand signals saying he can't talk with that gear on. I handed him a bag that looked like it might be something and swam off with him.
I brought him up for air away from the two boats, "I'm John B and uhh I'm sorry I touched your tail and startled you" he rubbed the back of his neck nervously
"It's okay! Its a pretty tail huh" I asked looking at my gold tail
"You're pretty! Uh wait I um" John B stumbled over his words
"It's okay! Thank you!"
"Ya you're welcome Marina! Listen I gotta go back to my friends can you help me get back there please?"
"Sure thing! Here let me create an air bubble you might be out of air" I cupped the water and blew on the water creating a bubble putting it around John Bs mouth.
We went underneath the water I grabbed his hand and led him to his friends.
"John B I had fun! And I would like to see you again I wanna know about the human world! And if you feel the same say my name 3 times in the ocean I know it's weird!" I exclaimed, "and ps you can talk with the bubble"
"Wow that's so cool! Ya for sure! I would like for you to meet my friends soon! I promise they're chill!"
"I would love that! Later John B!" I swam away
I saw another boat chasing them, "oh no you don't!"
I swam after the second boat and used my powers to wrap the engine in seaweed making it stop.
I poked my head above the water, "come on! Let's go!" A man yelled making me chuckle disappearing in the water again. I saw John Bs boat and decided to follow them back to their house.
John Bs pov
"What happened down there?!" JJ exclaimed
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you" thinking about Marina and her beautiful golden tail and her top to match it
"Try me" JJ egged
I thought if I should call her but she did want to meet them I just didn't think now though! Well here goes nothing
"Stop the boat" I said pope stopped the boat and killed the engine I jumped in the water and said Marina 3x times.
"Hi John B!" Marina greeted I signaled to the boat and she nodded.
She helped me back up to the surface and went to the surface, she went behind me.
"Who's that?!" Pope and kie panicked
"Ya who's that?! She's really pretty!" JJ exclaimed
"This is Marina she helped me down there" I introduced her
Marina came out behind me and greeted my friends, "omg!! It's a pleasure to meet more humans!!" She exclaimed
"What do you mean more humans?" Kie questioned
Marina brought her tail up to the surface and everyone gasped and JJ jumped in.
"Hi pretty girl!" JJ took marinas hand and kissed it
"H-hi" Marina blushed and looked away
"Can you turn into a human?" Pope asked
"Well I can but I don't know how yet and when I do turn into a human I don't got any clothes on when I do" Marina answered
"Can you turn into a human right now" JJ smirked
"I can try" Marina replied making me swim in front of her
" no no JJ!" I yelled
"Sorry man thought I would ask" he shrugged
"Listen Marina I would love to show you around Outer Banks when you're a human so come to the house with a huge tree knocked down" I told her
"Yessir" she saluted, "alright see ya i'll be back with human legs!" Before she could swam away a sea turtle appeared next to her
"Hi greenie!" She petted the turtles head
"Omg!! A sea turtle!! Can I pet her please!!" Kie begged
"Sure!" Marina signaled the turtles to kie
Kie got in the water an started to pet the turtle, "omg I could cry right now! You are my favorite person ever!"
"Awe and guys don't tell this to anyone and I mean anyone!!" Marina told them with a serious look in her eye
"Yessir ma'am!" We all said
"Come on greenie Les go home!" Marina said and just like that Marina and her pet sea turtle Greenie disappeared.
"Broooo I can't wait to see her when she's a human!" JJ exclaimed
"Bro settled down she'll come to the house when she's ready" I rolled my eyes at JJ
Marinas pov
I swam back to my coral caves and stole my moms book of powers, I turned to the human page and took the page out of the book and swam til I found John Bs back yard.
"John B!" I yelled pulling myself up on the dock
"Marina?" JJ questioned
"Hi JJ! I'll need some clothes!"
John B came out with a shirt and shorts for me he set them down next to me.
I took the page and read it out loud, " I call on the waves and the moon, to grant me human legs til I touch water, shall my tail return to me"
My golden tail disappeared and appeared two human legs my golden bra disappeared showing my chest.
"Woah!" JJ mouth hung open
I grabbed the shirt and put it over me and I put the on the shorts.
I turned around, "well?"
"We gotta take you shopping Marina" kie said approaching us
"I know chill lol Oo I forgot about greenie!" I chuckled, "GREENIE!!" I yelled
Greenie came up to the dock and poked her head out, "don't tell mom and dad about this okay!"
Greenie nodded her head and disappeared into the water again.
"Let's go shopping!" I exclaimed jumping up and down the dock
