It was him. I knew it.  He was there, walking right behind me. They told me to run, far away, someplace else. Don't look back. That was all they said.

My heart was thumping out my chest. Could this be the end of me?

I'd managed to outrun him once. Maybe i could do it again. I threw my earbuds into my ears as my feet took off the ground. My favorite band blasted through my ears as i sped round the neighborhood, I was only a block away from my apartment when my legs suddenly started flying through the air.

I awaited the drop onto the floor, deciding that my fate was here. Yet it never came.

I cracked open my eyes to be met by somewhat of a dark figure. He was male, tall and slender but it was to dark to see his face. All i could see was his piercing blue eyes.

"Shhh." The mystery man whispered. He pulled me into the dark opening next to us. Footsteps were drawing close and closer. Hands snaked around my tiny frame as my heart started to race.

The footsteps came closer, closer again. This was the end. They came to a stop just before the clearing, stopping at a halt for a few seconds before moving on and past the clearing.

As soon as he was out of range, i released a breath of air. The mystery man glanced at his phone before muttering, "oh shit." He took a step closer to me and grunted "phone." I stood there frozen to the spot, confused as all ell. I handed him my phone and a few seconds later he handed it back to me. On the screen was a number. The contact was saved as ':<AB' The mystery man in front of me muttered "I gotta go, text me!" before running off the opposite way.

My heart thundered in my chest as i peeked out of the closing. He was gone, and so was the mystery man. I opened my phone and resumed my music, before walking towards my apartment.

Once i got into the safety of my bedroom, i sat down on my bed, resting my head in my arms and started to sob. When would he ever stop? I continued to cry into my arms until i fell asleep in the comfort of my home.
