Luke: How are you?
Calum: I'm great. You?
Luke: Me too. Even better because I'm talking to you.
Silence.
Luke: So- Oh! You like Blink-182? Me too!
Calum: Yeah.
Luke: What's your favorite song? Mine's either Anthem Part Two or Story of A Lonely Guy. Rock Show is pretty cool, too.
Calum: I like Adam's Song.
Luke: It's quite depressing, don't you think?
Calum: Yeah.
Calum remains silent during the rest of lunch.

Luke: Hi Calum.
Calum: Um.
Luke: What?
Calum: Where's Clarissa?
Luke: Oh. I made her change seats with me. She's cool.
Calum: Why'd you do that?
Luke: Don't worry, it was a piece of cake. Brendon, my seat partner? Well she has a crush on him, so she said yes in a second.
Calum: She was nice. I actually liked her.
Luke: I'm nice, too.
Calum: Whatever.
They don't speak for the rest of the day. Calum decides Luke is an annoying piece of shit.
