Xavier's Pov

"Why are you in such a rush to leave?" Samantha asked as I rushed to the elevator.

"I'm tired," I lied, quickly pushing a button. "I just want to sleep already."

Samantha smirked, walking closer to me. "Are you sure you're too tired?"

She ran her hand down my chest and I stopped it. "I'm exhausted," I lied, faking a yawn. "Maybe another night."

Samantha groaned, throwing her head back. "We haven't had sex in almost over a month," she sighed. "Not since Ryan came into your life."

"Huh? Ryan?" I said, nervously looking around the small elevator. "Wha-what about her?"

Damn it, Xavier. Get it together.

"Why are you acting so weird?" Samantha asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm not acting weird," I said, taking off my mask. "Why, uh, weren't you dancing?"

"I was talking with some friends," Samantha shrugged. "Uh, one of your assistants, Amy, told me you took part of the broken tango."

"She-she did?" I asked, my eyes widening a bit.

"Yeah," Samantha shrugged. "She said you're a really good dancer."

"She didn't say anything else?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"No," Samantha replied, shaking her head. "Why?"

"N-no reason," I shrugged. "The dance was great."

It really was great. The way Ryan looked at me, the way she held onto to me, the way she kissed me back. It all made me feel like I was falling in love with her all over again.

"Xavier? Hello? Let's go."

"Huh?" I said, snapping out of my thoughts.

"Let's go!" Samantha yelled.

She was half way down the hall and I was still in the elevator. I quickly ran to catch up with her.

Samantha quickly walked to our room to take a shower. I took off the bow tie and unbuttoned my jacket. I threw them to the couch and unbuttoned my shirt. I kicked off my shoes and grabbed the mask. I placed the mask on top of the fireplace, sighing. I finished getting undressed until I was in boxers and walked grabbed my things as I walked to the room.

Samantha was in the restroom showering and I got comfortable in bed. A few moments later, Samantha came out the restroom and lied down in bed with me.

"Why don't we ever cuddle?" Samantha asked, getting closer to me. "We never spoon when we fall asleep together, why not?"

"You know how I feel about touching," I sighed, not caring to turn around and face her. "I don't like cuddling."

Samantha murmured something under her breath and moved farther away from me. I let out a sigh of relief.

I like Samantha and I care about her, yes, but I can't come to the idea of doing things with her that I only did with Ryan.

"Look, Felix, I can't talk right now," I said, continuing to type on my laptop. "I'm making sure Henry and Neal sent those files."

"Xavier, this is important," Felix practically yelled. "Ryan and I-"

"I'm sorry, Felix," I sighed, continuing to type on my laptop. "But I really need to go over these files."

"Xavier, you need to listen to me-"

"Felix, please!" I yelled, finally looking at him. "This is most likely more important than what you have to tell me."

Felix walked out my office fast and slammed the door shut. I rolled my eyes, sighing.

A few minutes after Felix left, I heard the door open and close. I took a glance towards the door and noticed it was my assistant, Amy.

"May I help you Amy?" I asked, grabbing the files from me desk.

"Sir, does Samantha know?" Amy asked, pushing her glasses up her nose.

I instantly closed the file and looked at her.

"I-I-I, uh, I'm sorry," Amy said, fiddling with her fingers. "I, uh, don't know what I'm talking about."

"You saw me, huh?" I said, nervously biting my lip. "You saw me kiss her?"

Amy slowly nodded her head. She kept her gaze to the floor. "Was that...was that Ryan?"

"How do you know who Ryan is?" I asked, glaring at her.

"I-I, uh, had seen the necklace you had with the name Ryan on it by some picture that looked like you when you were younger and some other girl," Amy frantically explained. "And uh, Felix told me about her..."

"Damn Felix," I sighed, shaking my head. "Uh, yeah that was Ryan."

"Do you love her?" Amy asked, her eyes finally meeting mine. "Do you love Ryan?"

I pursed my lips, not knowing how to answer.

"Why aren't you with her?" Amy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's complicated," I said, closing my laptop.

"How so?" Amy asked confused. "If two people love each other, then they should be together."

"I don't want to hurt Samantha," I said, pursing my lips. "It wouldn't be fair to her."

"Excuse my language, Sir, but fuck Samantha," Amy said, throwing a hand in the air. "She's mean and treats you like shit. Also, she spilled her coffee on me the other day!"

I looked at her shock. Amy was always a quiet, shy assistant and didn't really voice her opinion so this was surprising.

"I saw the way you and Ryan looked at each other," Amy smiled. "Just be with her already."

I sighed, starting to smile. "I might just have to listen to you, Amy."

"Okay, good," Amy said, letting out a sigh of relief. "Uh, that was all, Sir."

"Alright, Amy," I chuckled.

"Ha-have a good day, Mr. Hale," Amy said, walking out the door. "And, uh, sorry for my language."

"Thank you," I laughed. "Have a nice day as well!"

I continued reviewing the files. After that, I had a conference and then I had to make certain business calls.

Finally, around midnight I was driving home. I realized Samantha wasn't home - she was probably having a girls night out with her friends. I took a nice relaxing shower and then got dressed.

The minute I lied down in bed, I heard a knock on the door. I groaned, standing up. I slipped on some grey sweats over my boxers and put on a white shirt.

I walked to the door and opened it. I saw Felix and Ryan both standing there, looking at me.

"We need to talk."
