Time Variant Assassin (Alternate MCU Story)

Time Attack

David sat down in his home that was somewhat out of society. However, he saw a person in his home. An intruder. "Hey." He said loud enough to startle the intruder. She turned around. "Please, I'm trying to find something. A smart device. Like a phone or a computer." The woman said.
"Well, i don't have any. Now get out or I'll take a shower in your blood." David told her. She charged at him and he simply lifted his foot. She ran into his foot, then David kicked her back. "Now get out. Last warning." David threatened. She got up and punched him again. David clawed her face with all fingers. Her blood leaked out on his gloves. He let her go. Then he grabbed her by the neck and dragged her into the woods near his home. David left the corpse and returned home. He immediately went to his bedroom and lied down in bed. But he stopped himself from going to sleep. "No. Bed is not a good idea." He told himself. He went to his couch in his living room. He sat down and slowly drifted to sleep.

There was a knock on David's door. David woke to the sound and went to the door, mask in his hand. He looked through the peephole and saw three people in black outfits. He opened his door and spoke with a stern voice. "What, are you fans? No autographs. Now get the fuck off of my property." David said.
"David Demis, we need you to come with us." One said. David sighed and put his mask on. He stepped outside and closed his door. "Okay, who are you? Are you the Government? The San Francisco Police Department? SWAT? The Military? Are you friggin... one of those organizations that the heroes in New York fight?" David asked.
"We're TVA. You're coming with us." The same guy said again.
"Yeah... look, I don't listen to demands." David told the "TVA" agents. He threw a punch at one but was tased. He went down.

"David Demis." David heard. He woke up in a room sitting at a desk in front of a man with a bandage across his nose. David was missing his mask. "Mr Demis." He said again.
"Who the hell are you? Where have you taken me?" David asked. He raised his hands but saw he didn't have his gloves. He didn't have any of his weapons or attire. He almost never took his gloves off so it was his first time seeing his hands in a while. He almost forgot what they looked like. "Where are my things?! Talk, damn it!" David yelled.
"A lot of talkers coming in recently. I just sent a merc with a mouth away, now you're here." He told me. "You see, Mr Demis, out of the many people you have murdered, one was-"
"I'm not a murderer. I'm an assassin. I kill murderers and end anyone's suffering." David corrected him.
"Killing a man who could have been saved isn't murder?" The guy asked.
"He was suffering. He couldn't be saved. I've seen his injury before. They didn't make it out, how the fuck do you know about that?" David asked.
"As i was saying, out of the many people you have 'assassinated,' one was a variant of Agatha Harkness from another universe outside of yours. She was supposed to lose against you, but not supposed to die." He told David.
"So what? Now I'm getting killed for protecting myself? And answer my question, dipshit. How do you know about all this?" David asked.
"The Time Variance Authority, or the TVA, watches the multiverse to protect the Sacred Timeline." The man said.
"The Sacred Timeline? The Multiverse exists? So what, are you telling me that you guys wrote everything? You controlled who got snapped by Thanos all those years ago? You controlled the death of my family?" David asked.
"We don't write everything. But some strings need to be cut to weave the fabric of reality." The man said. David huffed. "What do you want from me?"
"Not to kill you. We're giving you a chance of redemption. To go back in time." The man said.
"Where's my shit? I'm not going on some mission without my weapons."
"Before you take them, may i suggest you take a shower?" The guy asked.

Alright so I released two chapters today because we figured it was best to release just chapter 1 yesterday. To introduce people to David Demis and make them curious about him. Going forward, I'll release one chapter at a time.
