2024

It was T- minus three days until training camp would begin which meant Brocks vacation was basically over, he didn't have a full schedule yet but he was due at the facility for his pre-season meetings to set up his workout regime and other things that Allison didn't quite understand.

He had a 9 o' clock meeting scheduled with the back up quarterbacks, his trainers, and of course his coaches. Allison had already left for work, wishing him luck and reminding him to grab his lunch she had packed along with the homemade cookies she had made for Brock to bring.

So there he was, 8:50 am walking into the facility with a mountain of stuff. He had dropped everything except his drink and the bags of cookies off at his cubby, and made his way to the meeting room where everyone was.

"Brock nice of you to show up." Kyle had always joked with him that he was always the last to show up even if he wasn't late. "Ha ha that's hilarious." Brock had let out sarcastically making the others in the room let out small laughs.

Holding out the bags he gave them to Kyle. "These are for you, or everyone." He shrugged, Allison had never specified if they were for everyone. "AJ make these?" He questioned. Kyle wasn't a stranger to Allison's foods, she had made food for the team plenty of times.

"You know it, this one is the allergy free batch if someone can't have the others." Allison had taken allergies very seriously after someone had given her brother Tony something and his throat started swelling up.

"We should've signed her instead of you." He joked, Brock just rolled his eyes not giving him an answer so they could go on with the meeting.

They had discussed the kind of exercise plans they would be using, his nutritionist had given him and updated version of his meal plans that he would have to give to Allison, a bunch of papers he kind of just browsed through, and any injury prevention exercises he could do.

Soon enough it was time to go home, he knew he would be home before Allison so he had planned to take Tuck out and get a head start on supper for the two of them.

So when he got home and saw that his wife was already in the kitchen making supper with a white bandage covering her hand, he was slightly confused.

"Why are you home so early? What happened to your hand?" He had dropped his bag off on the couch and walked over to her taking her hand away from the sharp knife she was using.

"Hi honey, I'm great thanks for asking." She gave him a sarcastic smile when she turned her head. "I asked what happened, which is a part of your well being." He defended himself.

She gave him a sigh and picked the knife back up. "I'm fine I accidentally cut myself with a pair of shears and the girls sent me home because I can't open my hand all the way." He took the knife back out of her hand and pulled her towards him.

"Why didn't you call me?" He was confused on why she didn't, even if she wasn't hurt she usually called him during her shift so she could take some time to relax and give him updates on her day, so for her to not do that was unusual.

"You had important meetings today, besides I'm fine." She had given him a smile to prove that she was indeed fine. "Let me see it." It wasn't a suggestion, it was an order, his tone was firm and she knew there was no room for arguing but she was a stubborn person.
