A part of Eren sunk inside of him. He looked at Armin in the eyes "Really? He actually said that?" Armin nodded "Yeah, I thought it was a little harsh but then again he's old so... Yeah."
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
They both smiled at each other and Eren whispered "Now what."
"Tell me something about yourself." Armin whispered back. "Well I have a adopted sister which you already know... My whole family can play a instrument beside me. All I can do is draw and take pictures and---"
"Tell me something that I don't know. Tell me something like... What you want to do when you grow up?"
Eren never thought about it. What did he want to do when he's older? Does he want to continue doing art? Does he want to have a family? Something's he just never thought about.
"I've never thought about that." He responded. Armin sat up on his elbows and looked at him funny "To me you look like that kind of person who would want to be an athlete and have a large family." Armin said with a small smile. Eren thought for a moment "Well I wouldn't mind finding love."
"Mhm... Love is a nice concept isn't it..." Armin said softly.
After supper Eren and Armin moved into Eren's room. They sat on The bed looking through movies to watch.
"Toy story 1 and 2?"
"We've watched that too many times."
"Star Wars."
"Not today..."
"There's Something About Mary?"
"I don't think we can even watch that..."
"You're right." Eren laughed and continued to go through movies.
"Men in Black?"
"Nah... How about The Mask!" Armin said pointing at the movie in Eren's other hand. "Really? You really don't seem like that kind of person who would watch this." Eren laughed.
He has to be joking!
"C'mon Eren! I haven't watched it in along time!"
"But I don't like that movie..."
"Eren! Please?"
Wow. Um okay, he wasn't joking.
After listening to Armin beg to watch The Mask Eren gave in and putted the VCR tape into the VCR. During the previews Eren ran down stairs to get a couple of snacks and drinks while he did that Armin called his Parents and told them that he was going to stay another night at Eren's.
The two boys huddled close together on the bed and shared the same fluffy blue blanket. When the movie started Eren mostly paid attention to Armin. Eren wasn't lying about not liking the movie, but Armin seemed to enjoy it.
As long as Armin was happy then Eren was happy, that's all that mattered to Eren. Every time Armin laughed or smiled Eren noticed that his eyes squinted just a bit. Something about Armin's happiness made Eren happy.
If Armin was upset, Eren would try to cheer him up.
If Armin was hurt, Eren would try to heal.
If Armin left, Eren would follow.
Even though Eren has known Armin for only for 2 month,a not even 2 months, Eren felt like he has known Armin for all his life. He always wondered if Armin felt the same way.
"Eren is something wrong?" Armin asked nudging Eren's side. Eren suddenly returned to reality and realized that he had been starting at Armin the whole time.
"Mhm?"
"Is something wrong?"
"Uh... No nothing."
Armin gave Eren a frown. "Is something wrong with my face or something?" He asked and touched his face feeling if anything was wrong "Why would you think that?" Eren responded and folded his arms underneath the blanket.
"Well you've been starring at me for a while and I don't know... Is there something on my face? Is something wrong with me---"
"Armin! Nothing is wrong with you. Nothing at all is wrong with you..."
At this point if Eren had been really paying attention he would have realized that he had grabbed Armin's hand. Armin's face went into a shade of pink.
"Eren, what do you mean?"
"Um... Just never mind. Let's talk about this later, okay?"
"Okay."
Before their gaze broke away Armin moved closer to Eren and rested his head onto Eren's shoulder with their fingers intertwining. Armin didn't mind Eren's touch, he always thought that he was warm.
As the credits rolled onto the screen the two boys could barely keep their eyes open. Armin rubbed the inside of Eren's palm and whispered "You know what I learnt from this this movie."
Eren rested his head against Armin's "I don't know, there's always time for one last kiss?"
"That people do strange things for love."
"Love is strange in general."
"True," Armin yawned and stopped rubbing his palm "Eren, why were you starting at me earlier?" He asked. Eren yawned and readjusted himself beside Armin.
"I don't know... I got kinda lost in my thoughts. Sorry for staring."
"Don't apologize, I just wasn't sure what was going on... That's all." Armin said as his voice slowly died away. Eren nudged him a bit using his shoulder "You wanna go to bed now?" He whispered to him. The blond caught Eren's gaze and gave him a soft smile. "Nah... I can stay up a little bit longer." Armin said which was followed by with a yawn.
"Armin you're tired. Let's just go to sleep."
"Okay, should I go into the spare room?"
"No, you should stay here. I'm already comfy like this." Eren whispered and moved even closer to the blond. Armin raised his head "I don't think I can sleep sitting up right like this."
"Well then lay down."
Armin laid down and Eren did the same with their fingers still intertwined. Once the two were both comfortable, still very close to each other, the sounds of the world beyond the window lulled them to sleep.
In the morning Eren walked Armin back to his house. They took their time walking to the Arlert house even though they had no reason to. The two both didn't speak a world until they rounded the corner.
"What school do you go to?" Armin asked. That's right, Armin doesn't even know what school Eren goes to. Eren doesn't even know what school Armin goes to either.
"I go to Maria Elementary."
Armin stopped walking and whispered "Oh." Under his breath with his head down. "What school do you go to?" Eren asked and a heavy feeling started to build up in his chest. Armin then looked up at him and said,
"I go to Sina Elementary."
