"We started spending time together outside of work in January," I said to Laura.

"This has been going on since January?" Laura's eyes widened, "I'm actually...really impressed."

Poppy blinked, "You are?"

"Yeah. I mean, I noticed that the two of you seemed to get along better, but I thought it was just from working together for a while. I never would've thought in a million years that you're dating."

"You can't tell a soul," Poppy said to Laura in a firm tone.

"It's not my story to tell," Laura said, "Your secret is safe with me, I promise."

I believed Laura. I've known her for close to 2 years now, and she's never been a loudmouth.

"Thank you," I said to Laura.

"Of course. Does anyone know, what about Diego?"

"Nope, no one knows," Poppy responded, "And it has to stay that way."

Laura nodded, "Understood. Which concert are you seeing?"

"The Weeknd," Poppy replied.

"Awesome!" Laura smiled, "I really hope you have a fun time, I'm sure you will."

I smiled at Laura, "Thank you. I'll tell you about it when we work together next."

After Laura walked away, Poppy and I got in the car together.

"Do you trust her to not tell anyone?" Poppy asked me as she pulled out of her parking spot.

"I do trust her. Laura is not a loudmouth; she minds her own business. I really don't think she'll tell anyone."

"Okay," Poppy sighed, "If she does, I'll fucking lose it."

"So will I," I agreed with Poppy.

Poppy blasted songs by The Weeknd on the way to the stadium, from his older songs such as "High For This" to his newer jams such as "Is There Someone Else?".

"You know more of his songs than I do," I said to Poppy, "But I still enjoy his music a lot."

We got to the stadium where he was playing, and even though our seats were pretty high up, Poppy was still thrilled.

"Oooh, I like that we can sit down," she said, "All of the other concerts I've been to were standing up."

I smiled at Poppy, enjoying how excited she was.

My favorite part about the whole concert was seeing how much fun Poppy was having. She knew basically every word to every song, and when The Weeknd came out onto the stage she clapped and cheered loudly.

As The Weeknd sang, Poppy looked hypnotized.

I was able to do something for her to make her this happy.

I'll continue to do that for as long as I can.

A couple of songs before the concert was over, Poppy and I left so we could beat the crowd of cars.

Poppy linked her arm in mine as we left and said, "That was absolutely amazing!"

She then stopped me in my tracks, leaned in, and kissed me gently.

"Thank you for this, Delilah. It means the world to me."

I smiled at Poppy, "Of course, Poptart."

My next shift at work, I worked with Poppy, and we were closing together. Sydney and Laura worked with us as well, and Sydney left first for the night, leaving Poppy and I with Laura.
