Ellie: I have it, do you want me to give it to you?
Feeling a pang of jealousy, I started to get angry. Why does she have his number and I don't? Maybe she asked for it and not him.
Me: No, I don't think he would want his phone number being given away willy nilly.
Ellie; lol ok. Ttyl.
Me: Bye.
Slouching over on my bed, I felt thirsty. I got up and went down stairs. Mom and dad were still fighting.
"Sara, sign the papers. I can't do this anymore." My dad rubbed his temples. "After that, you can be with that 'Sam' guy. Do whatever you want."
"But I still love you, Will! I can't be without you."
Dad slammed his fist down on the counters. "Damnit, this is not fair! I can't live like this. We're getting a divorce. And that's final. You have to sign the papers tomorrow, when we go to court."
My mom started shaking her head, "No, no. I'm sorry, I-" she stopped mid sentence when she noticed me, standing half behind the wall.
"Sorry, just getting a glass of water." I said, walking through them and grabbed a glass.
"It's okay, sweetie. We didn't want you to hear this."
"I wouldn't be surprised if the whole neighbor hood heard you guys." I muttered under my breath.
"What was that?" She asked.
"Nothing." I said quickly. Then I remembered what I needed to ask them. "Can I got to a movie with Ellie and Jake tomorrow?"
"What time?"
I fiddled my fingers. "Uhh, 11...?"
"Absolutely not!" Dad used his stern tone. "It's a week night."
"Yes, I know but-"
"No buts! It's too late."
I pressed my lips together before speaking, "I never do anything. Please. Just this once?"
"No. That's final. Go back up to your room. Your mom and I need to finish discussing this."
I grumbled, but obeyed.
Laying back in my room, I decided to turn on the TV. Scanning the channels, my eyes fell upon Modern Family. Perfect.

The slamming of my locker doors ringed in my ears. Once again, another restless night of sleep. This is becoming a normal thing now.
I spied Kurt over at the end of the hallway. He looked frustrated, so I made my way over to him.
"Hey Kurt! Need a little help?"
When he looked at me, his face softened. "Please. The damn door won't open. I've tried the combination a million times." He thread his hand through his thick hair. "It's as if it doesn't like me or something." He chuckled.
"Alright, well, what's the combination? Let me give it a go."
"I'm not sure I can trust you." He smiled. I rolled my eyes. "Okay, um, 46, 22, 12."
Nodding, I flipped through the lock, going through the numbers. Left. Right. Then left.
It popped right open. "Guess I just have the magic touch."
"Guess so." He laughed off. Looking a little worried for some reason.
I cleared my throat. "So, um, would you want to go to a drive in tonight?" I shifted my weight. "If you can." I added.
"You mean, together?"
"Oh, no, no. With Jake and Ellie too. You met them yesterday."
He grinned. "I'd love to. I just have to check in with my Uncle first. Sounds fun."
"Okay great! I'll call you when we're ready to pick you up."
I started to leave, about to go tell Ellie that he's coming when he grabbed my arm.
"I don't have your number." He reminded.
I gave a sheepish smile. "Right. Here." I slipped off my back pack and pulled out a pen and paper. Quickly, I wrote it down. And handed it to him.
"See you in history."
"Hey Kurt!" Jake came jogging down the hallway in our direction. "I've been meaning to ask you something buddy, I-"
Kurt cut him off, "Buddy?"
Jake rolled his eyes, "Whatever man. Look, I was wondering if you played any sports? You look like you would be a great football player. I mean," he playfully punched Kurt's shoulder, "You definitely have the arm for it. Our quarterback, Jack, broke his leg. We're looking for replacements, you in?"
Kurt looked confused for a second, before he caught on, "Oh, you don't mean football. Like what you guys call 'soccer'." He then seemed like he was remembering something, "I could try to play. My mom was from America and she showed us Football games when we weren't traini- I-I mean doing chores and school." He stuttered. "I also was a pitcher in baseball when I was a kid"
Jake looked excited. "Well that's perfect! We could just show you the ropes, and I'm sure you'll do awesome."
"Cool, mate. I'll be there for practice. Later guys."

"This is so frustrating!" I yelled to myself. I looked in the mirror at myself with a flowy yellow dress with a belt. My blonde hair fell slightly below my shoulders.
I cannot wear this to a drive in! Why am I getting so worked up on what I wear? This is probably the seventh outfit I tried on this evening.
Deciding to change again since what I had one is too fancy, I went back into my closet and picked out a pair jeans and a cute blue sweatshirt
I should probably tell Kurt when we're coming.
Me: Hey Kurt! We will be at your house soon, be ready. Could you text me your address?
Curt: Sure. 148 Jared Avenue. See you there.
Smiling for no apparent reason, I finished my make up as I heard Jake's horn from his car outside.
As I made my way out front, I grabbed my purse with my pepper spray-you can never be too prepared. And greeted Ellie and Jake as I got in his car.

We drove up to what we think is Kurt's house. We had the right address, but no one expected it to look like this.
It was so dingy. And I think I could smell some awful things from inside. It was just uncanny.
"Honk your car. I don't really feel like walking up there. It's pretty eerie." Ellie shuddered.
"Come on, guys." I rolled my eyes, "You don't have to be scared. I'll go."
I hopped out of the car, and jogged up to his front door.
Knocking slowly, I waited for him to come....But there was no answer.
I turned back to Ellie and Jake, but they waved me off to keep looking.
I peered through his windows, questioning my actions. This also seemed stalkerish.
Squinting, I saw Kurt arguing with this other man. It was a heated conversation and he looked angry.
Kurt threw his arms above his head in a frustrated manner. Then shoved his hands in the other mans direction.
Without even touching him, the man was thrown across the room with a powerful force that came from what appeared to be Kurt. But that's not possible...
What the hell? Was all I could think before I started to scream.
Hey everyone! Sorry this was somewhat of a boring chapter. Had to fill some stuff in. But I promise the next chapter will be a bit more interesting.
Conning, vote, the whole shebang. Thank you! Love you all.
