She hasn't bloomed
Since she was purchased
(some years ago)
She wonders if it means anything
Usually, her sister bloomed
And this one just has nice foliage
Recently, her sister went dormant
While this one sprouted a spike
She wondered if it was a sign
A sign of something significant to come
(or if it was a coincidence)
It was certainly something
Of note, especially, as she prayed.
