A field trip. At the very start of the school year? In high school too... Feels like elementary all over again. It was a trip to Savannah, somewhere Y/N hasn't been before. Growing up, her parents loved to travel. She was dragged along with so they could 'make up' for the time they've missed with her.
She appreciated their efforts, but being dragged to places she didn't even have any interest in visiting? That irritated her as well. A lot of things irritated her. Y/N can easily find something irritating, first impressions always matter when it comes to her.
But, that's besides the point. This trip didn't have anything to do with parents being involved, other than needing their signature. Despite them not always being home due to work, she could always come up with a plan. She already did.
