CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

It was the next weeks and Cora and Claire have been helping out a lot but mostly Claire right after Cassandra was born Ryder and the big pups had to go on a mission in New York so they have been gone the only pups that stayed was sweetie Skye Everest to help with the baby. Katie heard her phone buzzing and she picked it up and it was ryder calling her and it was FaceTime "Girls Skye sweetie Ryder is FaceTiming" said Katie "yay daddy" said Claire running in. Katie answered the phone and it Ryder with Chase and Marshall by him "daddy I miss you when are you coming home" asked Claire "I don't know sweetheart" said Ryder over the phone "where is Skye,Sweetie,and Everest" asked Chase "they went to tuck all the pups into there beds" said Cora walking into the nursery "Ok" said Chase over the phone "so did you figure out the case yet" asked Katie "No but we have the whole ACPD helping us to try to solve the case " said Ryder over the phone "Ok I miss you" said Katie "I miss you too but I need to talk to you alone" said Ryder over the phone in a stern voice. Katie made the girls leave the nursery and Cora took Cassandra "Ok what's wrong" asked Katie "Katie so we can't find the person that has been killing everybody so we are coming home tomorrow that's why I said the Claire I don't know sweetheart but we are coming home tomorrow but Chase's sister asked Chase to stay" said Ryder over the phone "So Chase is still going to stay in New York" asked Skye walking in with sweetie and Everest "Yea Skye I'm sorry" said Chase over the phone "It's fine" said Skye.

It was the next day and the Air Patroller landed in the front yard and Cora and Claire saw there dad walking out of the Air Patroller "DADDY" said Claire running up to him "Hey sweetheart" said Ryder going on his knees and hugging her. Skye watch sweetie and Everest kiss their mates and Marshall saw her "Hey Skye Chase wanted me to let you here this" said Marshall handing Skye a recording of Chase

I know Sweetie and Everest reunited with their mates but I'm not here because I'm still helping with the case so I told Marshall hug you when you feel down because that's what 'brothers' do to their wives so stay strong if I don't make it back I told Zuma,Rocky,rubble,via,Ella,Liberty,tuck, and Marshall to help you with our pups I love you Skye to moon and back"

Marshall could see Skye was a little down and Marshall was about to say something but he opened his eyes with Skye hugging him "Thank you Marshall for being a brother to Chase" said Skye "Your welcome Skye I'm glad that I can call you my sister in law" said Marshall letting go of the hug

In New York at the police station(by the way ACPDs are everywhere and Katie named Cassandra off of Chase's sister)

"You ok little brother" asked Cassandra "I just miss Skye" said Chase "I miss her too but after we get the case solved you can go home" said Cassandra "True" said Chase "Do you have a voice recording of Skye on your pup tag" asked Cassandra "I do" said Chase "let me hear it"

This is set back to January 23rd 2026 and Chase is holograming it on the wall

"The stars a really beautiful tonight" said Skye over the recording "There aren't they" said Chase over the recording "My parents are up there somewhere" said Skye over the recording "Skye" asked Chase "Ya" said Skye "can I ask you what happened to you parents" asked Chase "Ok you promise you won't tell anyone " asked Skye "Yes I promise Skye" said Chase "Not even Ryder" said Skye "I promise on my badge" said Chase "Chase you don't have a badge" said Skye "No but my mom and dad do" said Chase "Ok one year before I joined the PAW Patrol me and my parents just escaped from the pound and we were walking through the woods in the afternoon to get food and there was a eagle flying around my parents and it was a killer eagle that we saw on the news in the pound and it killed my parents right in front of me and the night I got chased by two dobermans you came and saved me Chase" said Skye as she looked up to him.Before Chase could speak Skye pressed her lips against his and they got on top of each other Skye tired to pull away but the kiss ended when Chase got off of Skye "Skye would you like to be my mate" asked Chase "Yes" said Skye when she pounced on Chase and the hologram ended

"Aww that was sweet" said Cassandra "Cassandra and Chase can you guys come here for a minute" asked Bryan "sure" they said in usion. They walk into the room with a lot of computers "what's wrong" asked Cassandra "Can someone start up the private jet" asked Bryan "Bryan what's wrong" asked Cassandra "We found out who the murder is I mean murders are " said Bryan "Who are they" asked Chase in a stern but shake voice
