It was the second time you ever used your quirk.
.
You and Aoyama were training like usual, in his huge garden.
It's basically a small forest, a huge clod of dirt right next to his luxurious house. His parents bought it for cheap, in their opinion, and made it a sort of training ground for his son. It has an enormous block of concrete where Aoyama can shoot his lasers restlessly.
Being only ten, his lasers do little damage to that block. He's still young and has too little training to achieve what he could in the anime. He was shooting his laser against a huge concrete block, like he always does.
You were practicing with the darts instead. Yuga's mum happily accepted your request to bring your own equipment to his garden so you two could train together. She really admires how hard you train, especially your dart skills, so much she offered to buy you some better equipment.
You declined politely, knowing that if you returned home to your parents with another one of those expensive gifts she gave you, your parents would choke you.
Aoyama got tired quickly, or maybe he was bored. Either way, he stopped shooting lasers and walked up to you.
"You're good with darts." He comments. Somehow, a compliment directed to you still makes it look like he's inflating his ego. Maybe it's his blonde hair flowing with the light wind and those bright indigo eyes whose lashes flutter continuously.
Oh no, it's definitely that smile he has. You know exactly where he's getting at.
"Aoyama-san, no."
"Let's see if you can beat moi!" Aoyama said, completely ignoring you, smiling as sparkles appeared all around him. He grabbed one of the daggers that you used to train, winking at you, and aimed at the round target not so far away from him.
Specifically, he took the most pointy, sharp dagger you had. You wanted to stop him from doing something extremely dumb that he'll regret very very soon, but you were too late. He threw the dagger confidently, as if he was the one who won all those metals in the tournaments.
He failed miserably.
He let out a small pained sound as he looked down at his hand, a small cut made from handling the dagger without any experience now bleeding. You quietly mumble "idiot" between yourself, shaking your head with disapproval. Your eyes fix for a second on his blood. It's like the red watery substance was calling you, luring you towards it.
You blink, shaking your head again.
What are you thinking? Drinking Yuga's blood would be extremely disrespectful, and it would creep him out. You should really calm down that inner Toga you have, it won't do you any good at the UA exam, or life in general.
"Himiko, now that I think about it... You never showed me your quirk." Aoyama said, a smile wider than his usual one on his face. It's like he was reading your thoughts. He takes a step towards you, preparing himself to strike one of his exaggerated poses.
You can already imagine the sparkles and roses all around him.
"I want to see if you can sparkle like moi! Will my copy be as fascinating as the original?" He said dramatically, stretching his bleeding hand towards you while his other hand covered his eyes, making the scene all the more surreal, unnecessarily dramatic.
You stay silent.
"You have the luxury of living your life for a while as myself! Isn't it exciting?" He adds, waiting for you to boost his ego impatiently.
