A kitten softly snoring.
The sound of rain as it falls
onto your roof with such delicate grace.
A flame of a candle dancing.
The taste of red zinger tea
as it slips down your throat.
A sleepy 'good morning' from your dad
before he rushes off to work
so early in the morning.
The A on a test you thought you failed.
A 3 hour phone call
from a friend who lives
on the other side of the country.
The taste of homemade lemonade.
A new red lipstick,
that just happens to look
perfect with your eyes.
The process of falling in love.
A shoebox,
filled with captured smiles
and forgotten happiness.
The sound of wind
as it whispers through
the snow-covered mountains.
A smile from a stranger.
These are the things,
the little things,
that make every day
worth smiling,
worth loving,
worth living for.
