Chapter 2 Eliana

I felt some warmth on my face causing me to wake up. I covered my eyes as I looked around to see Viola opening the curtains and windows. As I let out a deep sigh, Viola turned herself to me.

"Good morning, Your highness." She bowed. I sat up and stretched my arms. "Would you like me to prepare a bath?" She asked. I gave her a smile and nodded. Today was my birthday. I got out of my bed and walked over to the bathroom. While I was walking, I looked over to the gown that had been brought here last night.

The gown was made in light gold tulle with layers of sheer fabrics. The top was laced in gold tightly around the waist. The sleeves were made of sheer fabrics off shoulders in flutters. There was a crown and a necklace gifted from my grandparents which went along with the gown.

I could not wait to wear the gown for the evening. But I had to wait till the afternoon to be dressed in a gown. For now I am gonna take a bath and go down for breakfast. As Viola had prepared the bath, I got in slowly as the water was warm. Viola would usually leave to give me some privacy. As long as I was healthy, I bathed alone.

After washing up. I dried myself with a towel before putting on a bathrobe. As I came into the room, Viola approached me.

"Sir Ares is waiting outside." She said before she went into the bathroom to clean up.

Ares has been quite annoying honestly. Every single day he will come early in the morning everyday. Even yesterday, I had gotten up at 6am and decided to take a stroll around the garden. I bumped into him the moment I left my room. Although I was caught he continued to accompany me. Which was fine but, somehow he is always watching me.

At least I don't feel like he is watching me at night. Imagining that would give me chills.

I browsed through my closet and picked up a simple yet beautiful dress to wear. It was a baby blue floral pattern dress up to my ankles. It had a corset design for the back and had puff sleeves. Viola came after cleaning up and helped me apply some makeup on my face.

Afterwards Viola did a waterfall braid and tied the braid with a baby blue ribbon to match my dress. As she finished I went to my closet and picked some bow sandals. I wanted to wear something comfortable as I would be in high heels tonight.

As I was finished getting dressed I left my room. As I went out I met Ares. We exchanged glances and left for the dining room.

"Good morning, Princess Eliana." He greeted me.

"Good morning to you as well." I responded.

"Did you sleep well despite your excitement?" He asked.

"What excitement?" I was dumbfounded.

"You were grinning from ear to ear yesterday." He stated. My face flushed in realisation. I covered my mouth as I continued to walk swiftly. Somehow i felt a bit embarrassed about it.

"It wasn't a bad thing, I thought it was very beautiful." He noticed my hand. I slowed down as I looked at him. It is very difficult to read him since he covered his face. I would do anything to make him get flustered.

I thanked him as I looked forth. As I arrived at the dining hall, my brothers and Father were waiting. They turned to me and smiled before shouting. "Happy Birthday Eli!"

I thanked them and took my seat. The breakfast was prepared with my favourite meal. Egg sandwiches along with sliced avocados and a raspberry milkshake. The meal was definitely delicious and the drink was so sweet and tasty. It was quiet when we were eating since it was early morning, we were building up the energy to speak.
