In the grim corners of the Arcanium Kingdom, nestled within the shadows of its towering grandeur, there was a place untouched by light—a slum that the world had forgotten. This was where Callista's story began. Abandoned before she could even speak the names of her parents, she learned early that the world was neither kind nor gentle. Orphaned in a place where survival meant laboring to the bone, her childhood was shaped by hunger, pain, and the overwhelming desire for escape.

Callista was a red-haired child with piercing eyes that hid her genius beneath a lazy, almost indifferent demeanor. She moved through the world with an air of disinterest, yet despite her claims of laziness, she was always thinking, always calculating how best to avoid the demands life placed upon her. There, in the muck and grime of the streets, her dream of a slacker's life was born—a dream where she would do nothing, and life would simply pass her by in peace.

But fate, as it often does, had other plans. It was an old mage, wandering around the world to find something to polish, who first saw her for what she was—a diamond buried in the dirt. The mage had lived his life wandering the kingdom, seeking out those who carried untapped potential. When he laid eyes on Callista, he saw something extraordinary. Without question, he took her in, and for the first time in her life, someone cared enough to show her a different path.

Under the old mage's tutelage, Callista's natural talent bloomed. She could summon magic with ease, her abilities far surpassing those of her peers. But even as she learned to control the forces of nature itself, she never lost sight of her original goal: to live a life of peace, undisturbed by conflict or responsibility. She sought the easiest way out of everything, and yet, the power within her refused to be silenced.

When the old mage passed, his final gift to her was a place at the prestigious Stella Academy, a beacon of magic and power in the Arcanium Kingdom. Callista entered its gates not out of ambition, but because the mage had asked her to. She would learn magic there, sure, but her heart remained focused on her dream. A dream of a slacker’s life, free from the burdens of destiny, power, and the world itself.

But Callista had yet to learn that peace does not come so easily to those touched by greatness.
