Beep! Beep! Beep!
Hmm..
I peel my eyes open to see daylight pooring in across my bedsheets. I turn my head to the side to look at my alarm clock, it's nine forty. I groan and raise my hands to my face to cover my eyes. I let my fingers drift to my hair and pull a few strans before letting them flop down besides me. I finally sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed, I watch as my blanket falls to the ground I don't bother picking it up and just walk to the door. I turn the handle and walk out, I'm met with the strongest smell of pancakes and bacon.
As I walk into the kitchen I hear my mom talking to my sister about table manners, I roll my eyes as I hear her scold her. I pat my little sister's, Sasha, head as I walk past, her bleach blond hair had purple ribbons in it. She dosen't look up and keeps eating her bacon, my mother gives me a look, her dark red painted lips are pressed into a thin line as she stares as me. I don't say anything and simply get my coffee, she has a Newspaper gripped tightly in her hands, her finger nails matching her lips.
"You're up early." She says in a flat tone, I don't look back at her as I walk to the fridge for creamer.
"Yep." I say as I poor an un-healthy amount of creamer into my coffee, I watch as the black nearly turns to white with how much creamer I'm putting in.
"I hate how you waste the creamer like that." She says in annoyed tone. I ignore her and move to stand behind Sasha, she was the quiet type and pretty awkward for an 11 year old, but she was just the sweetest girl. We sat in a somewhat tense silence while we did our sperate things. It was always like this, the tension never fully left the air, it lingered, stuck to our clothes and hair. It was slowly suffocating us and we didn't have clue.
"When are you going to college?" My mom asked calmly, I didn't care how she said it though she only said it to start somthing.
"I don't know, none of them really speak to me." I said, sipping from my cup, the sweet hot liquid slipping down my throat smoothly.
"This is ridiculous you sound like a god damn hippie." She huffed and slammed her paper down, I watched as Sasha jumped slightly.
"Don't." I say sternly.
"Don't what?" She demanded.
"Don't start something, you always want to start something for Christ sakes." I explained, I could feel Sasha shrink under me. My mother leaned back in her chair and folded her arms. Her power stance.
"Maybe if you simply listened to a thing I said, I wouldn't have to 'start somthing'." She said matter oh-factly. I hated when she used that tone, I think she knew that too.
"I don't understand why you have to be breathing down my neck all the fucking time." I half shouted as I lazily placed my mug in the sink.
"Watch your mouth." She said sternly.
"I was simply expressing myself." I say turning my back to her. I hear her sigh and stand up, as I round the corner I hear her mutter somthing to Sasha.
"Don't be like your brother Sasha, you won't go anywhere in life." I clenched my jaw and stormed to my room without another word, I slammed the door and threw myself onto my bed. I sat in silence for awhile, too lazy to put on music. Until it eventually drove me crazy and I finally got up and put something on. I got dressed for the day, simply because I was already standing, I put on an old green shirt with a pineapple on it, and a pair of blue jeans. I pulled on some socks, they didn't match but I couldn't give a shit.
