He hadn't questioned her decision back then, despite not understanding it in the slightest either, but now, a bit more knowledgeable than before, he could place a rather safe bet on the fact that she believed the deposit to be too dehumanizing of a place. Either that, or she truly enjoyed being the one to wake him up, rather than some cable-sent prompt opening his eyes to darkness.
The door slid open slowly, but within the second from having bright light invade his sight, Connor managed to get a good test of functionality on several of his features.
First, his optical units adjusted in miliseconds to the luminosity change from the deposit to the stripped bare inside of the lab he had once known as his only home. Then, within the same fracture of a moment, his scanners deployed and he identified the four armed guards standing in apprehension position with weapons pointed his way, as well as the fact that three of them were holding tazer guns charged with voltage sufficient to temporarily neutralize the proper functioning of his internal biocomponents. The fourth one had a short barrel rifle pointed deliberately to his right leg, thus aiding Connor to conclude in a prompt appearing across his scanning interface behind the four men that they were there to capture him, not to destroy him.
Finally, Connor acknowledged the bullet already fired his way and, coming out of the scan with all the information he needed to count on real time computing for reactions, he dodged to the side with a single side step, wasting no breath in choosing to run for one of the three armed with a tazer gun rather than actual bullets.
"Shit," he heard the man he was heading for curse. Connor detected there was a 62% chance that their finger on the trigger of the tazer would squeeze the second he was within two feet of him, so in order to avoid having to brace his systems for a shock that may take from his efficiency — one he had missed, as it had been a while since his body had felt brand new and fully operational —, he decided to dodge downwards. A second bullet fired his way from the right side and his slide against the floor proved beneficial in shielding him against that too, whole keeping him on track to the human he decided to attack first.
His foot met the man's ankles and kicked him out of balance. The tazer gun was activated, but was pointing well away from Connor by the time the electricity overloaded wires have been discharged.
Attacking one of the tazer armed men first was Connor's best strategy to ensuring the single one armed with real bullets would be deterred from firing either due to a lack of a clear shot or out of fear of putting down one of his colleagues. He counted on the human element to back him up and if the lack of activity in his far right peripheral vision was anything to go by now, he had been right.
Nonetheless, he focused on the task at hand, getting up while wrapping one arm around the man's right leg and using his momentum to throw him on his back on the floor.
Both of the remaining tazer armed humans shot towards him a loaded round, but with the scanner deployed, Connor had the time to assess his options within another fragment of a second before committing to an approach.
He could have dove out of the way and thus temporarily give up on his vantage point — the scenario he compiled out of that option was successful, his processing unit approximating it taking around two to three minutes to complete. His other option required him to acknowledge the man below him had a police issued pistol strapped in the holster to his hip, a mandatory addition to his uniform, even when he was not planning on using it. The men had all seemingly been ordered to use non-lethal force to apprehend him, so Connor had no need to worry about the human reaching for the pistol any time soon. However, if he reached out to take it instead, his processing unit confirmed he could be done and out of there in under a minute.
