After dishu went to sleep, piru and Shanu tucked Aryan in and then stepped out onto the balcony. Shanu turned to piru and asked, "What do you think, Piru? Has Akshit changed?"
Piru, lost in thought about Rishab, replied, "I'm not sure, but it seems strange. Rishab and Akshit seem so different from each other. I wonder if Rishab really is his son."
Shanu pondered for a moment before saying, "I'm not sure about that, but the real question is why he came to Mumbai. What if he came for you? He loved you since college and tried to propose several times, though you always rejected him."
Piru, lost in thought, began to recall their college days, her mind flooded with memories. Shanu's words reminded her of more than just proposals-Akshit had once tried to misbehave with her, and it was Aman who had intervened to protect her.
Shanu, noticing Piru's distant expression, called out, "Piru, what are you thinking about?"
Piru shook her head and said, "Nothing. But did you notice that Rishab didn't say a word? Could he be in some kind of danger?"
Shanu looked at Piru, puzzled. "Piru, why are you so concerned about Rishab? He's Akshit's son. What kind of danger could there be?"
Shanu suggested, "Let's get some rest now. Tomorrow the children have school, and I need to go for Aryan's admission. After that, I have to check out a place."
Piru asked, "Why? Is there a problem?"
Shanu replied, "No, Piru. It's just that I won't be staying permanently at your house. When my handsome arrives, we'll need some privacy too. 😅"
Piru smiled and said, "Oh, so you want to create special moments again! That's great-after all, Aryan might have a brother or sister soon."
Shanu blushed and replied, "Piru, stop it!"
Piru replied, "I'll sleep after a little while."
Shanu responded, "Alright, but don't stay up too late."
Piru nodded, "Okay."
Piru stood in the balcony as a slow, cold breeze brushed against her skin. She whispered into the night, "Where are you, Aman? When will you come back? Your Piru needs you." She took a deep breath, and in that moment, she imagined Aman appearing behind her, wrapping his arms around her in a comforting embrace. The thought brought both warmth and a pang of longing to her heart.
The next morning dawned quietly. Piru's parents had already left, but Aman's parents decided to stay for a few more days.
Piru got up early and helped Dishu get ready for school. After ensuring everything was in place, she, Dishu, Shanu, and Aryan all piled into Piru's car. With the morning sun casting a warm glow, they made their way to the school, the day just beginning to unfold.
After dropping Dishu off at school, Piru, Shanu, and Aryan made their way to the principal's office for Aryan's admission. The principal, addressing Piru as Miss Mathur, said, "I'm familiar with you, but I'm afraid your recommendation alone isn't enough to admit Aryan mid-year. We need a higher-level recommendation. I hope you understand. If I admit Aryan now, other parents will question the decision, and it could create complications. That's why I need stronger backing to handle those inquiries. If you don't mind, it might be best to wait and enroll Aryan next year."
Shanu, concerned, replied, "But ma'am, if we wait until next year, Aryan will fall behind compared to other students."
Piru gently reassured Shanu, "Don't worry, Shanu. We'll enroll Aryan in another school for now, and next year, we can admit him here. That way, Aryan won't fall behind and will be right on track."
