'I know that Veldrath is a spell made out of pure mana. And it became one of my most used spells.. the better I understood its fundamentals, the stronger it became.'
'I guess since I still remember all of that, it jumped immediately. But the output will still be minimal with my low intelligence stat.'
The yapping between everyone came to an end when the first quest pop up appeared, and goblins started to charge at people.
Now, I simply..-
I raise my hand, aiming my attention to one of the goblins and concentrate my mana....
"Veldrath."
Just like a gun, I shot the goblin right in it's head with a thin mana beam. Making the other's jump, and the people stare.
"Did you see what she did?"
"Holy shit what was that-"
I can't use it too much. I don't have the stamina for that. But I'm not dependent on my magic. I wasn't last time either.
I pick up the knife from the now dead goblin, and stance before quickly attacking them. Putting points into speed and intelligence, quickly slaughtering.
'Those green shits.'
- (Quest progress) Defeat goblins: [43/100.]-
- You have levelled up! -
Quickening the process, I grab another knife, the goblins fleeing from me as the other people started to realize they have to kill them too and get to work to it.
- You have levelled up! -

- You have levelled up! -
Don't use too much mana now.
- (Quest progress) Defeat goblins: [99/100.]-
- You have levelled up! -
Leaving one out, I now start to shoot thin mana beams at goblins one by one while passing them. The others look at me confused, because the goblins aren't dead.
"Quick! Kill them while they're down!" I yell at them. Hoping they won't second guess.
I might have a soft spot. But I cannot just leave others struggle alone.
So I help them. I weaken the goblins, shoot their legs, for the others to kill. It catches the attention of the being and that's exactly what I wanted.
Because that too happened in the first time I had to go through this.
'It's playing out much like the past, am I really back?'
Once I see that the people have an easier time to accept the way of killing, I kill my last target.
- (Quest progress) Defeat goblins: [100/100.]-
- Congratulations! You have completed the quest in [1st place] in the current region! -
- As a reward for [1st place] in the current region, you have received [Lowest-Rank rare weapon ticket]! -
'I didn't become first in all regions, but that was to be expected with..'
The pop up of the results appears in front of me, and with no surprise, Black Scythe is ranked one in everything.
I frown at the name.
Black Scythe.
Traitor.
I choose to use the ticket, and pick out a spear-like weapon before opening my status window again and distributing my points.
'I don't like this, I thought I was done hearing so many people cry.'
It breaks my heart, even with my attempts to help them. It was made so half of us won't survive.
The slots for the people who can pass fills up, and the remaining people are killed by the being.
And they notice I'm at rank 1 for the region. Looking at me with mouths wide open. But I'm 4th in all regions. Helping the others took time, and I don't mind it.
I wasn't going to be number one anyway.
The announcement for the next blood bath is shown, and we're all brought back into our bodies in reality.
___
I don't want to look at the corpses. So I quickly leave the plaza and view the status window.
'I need to quickly reach level 10 for my class change.'
I frown and stare at my hidden title. 'Everlasting Magus.'
It's too specific.
It then dawns on me.
The spell I learned so people wouldn't figure me out. A spell that would be passive, yet so useful in keeping me and my secrets safe.
Memory protection.
'Did that really also count for the system? Does that mean I didn't go back in time, but someone else did?'
'If that really saved me... then I can understand the title. It has no limits, so everlasting if this would happen over and over again.'
I hold my chin in thought.
If it's really so, then someone turned back time, for everyone, not just themselves.
"Interesting..."
I'm muttering like a creep, unaware of it.
'It means Black Scythe- Min Ryu, didn't betray me yet.'
Motherfucker.
I'll clear this game, and make sure he'll regret his decision.
We'll naturally meet at this point anyways.
