Shuichi wasn't having a good year, to say the least. Following the death of his mother, a famous actress who'd never spent much time with him, he'd been feeling lonely in a strange way.

He'd barely known her, so why was he feeling so depressed?

Sighing and lifting his bags, Shuichi stared up at the building in front of him.

It was modern looking, with tall white walls and glass windows, but obviously neglected due to the numerous broken windows and graffitis on the outside.

Shuichi had found out from an uncle of his that his mother had left him this house in her will. He hadn't been able to attend her funeral since it was in a foreign country and he was in school, but now it was summer he had a lot of time on his hands and not much to do.

"May as well go in," he said, walking towards the door and grabbing the handle.

The door creaked open so loudly that Shuichi jumped in surprise.

"Geez! That sounded like something from a horror movie..." he said to no one in particular.

He stepped into the round living room and looked at the middle in surprise.

There was a huge grand piano standing in the center of the room, covered in cobwebs and dust. Shuichi was quite surprised, he never knew his mom was a pianist.

"...I guess I'll clean it after unpacking my things," he said, beginning to set down his bags.
