Third POV
"Where is she!?" yelled Zander angrily. "She was supposed to be here two hours ago!!" He grabbed the poor guard who happened to be in the room and shook him by the shoulders viciously.
"I-I don't know, sir. She hasn't called in or made contact with any of our allies in the Alliance. She could be in a serious battle, but if so, then she would have sent some sort of summons for us t-to aid h-her..." the guard trailed off seeing the princes suddenly more enraged expression. The guard, Piko Xalzar, tried not to whimper. He glanced nervously at the guard on his right for help who only shrugged in a helpless manner.
"I want her found, alive, and in this room by the time I have to leave for the council meeting. If not," Zander glared at the guards. "Someone is going to get hurt. May the spirits bless those who aren't in my path when it happens!" And with that, he stormed off to his room, muttering a string of curses under his breath.
With a slam of his door he settled into his desk chair, rubbing his temples. Where is she... she's never out this long. Oh spirits please let her not be captured. Please oh please! He thought. Calm down Zander, she could have run into a patrol unit and is just taking her time so no one will follow her. Yeah, that's it. Taking a deep breath, the prince took out his writing tools and began drafting his speech for the council. This was likely to be one of the most important meetings the council would have. The Alliance was going to decide whether or not the proud warriors of Shi'tah, the Shi'tari, would be fully admitted to the Alliance. Zander hoped they would. The Shi'tari are one of the strongest people he knew alive and of old. They could not only take down a small pack of werewolves with their bare hands, but they could also change their appearance, making them the perfect spies on any dangerous mission. Some could make themselves appear as fairies or sprites. Others could turn into vampires or mimic werewolves. It is rumored that they are also warlocks. If they truly were, no one has ever really seen them using their magical talents. But Zander knew the truth, as did everyone who was very close to him. He'd seen a Shi'tari turn into many different forms and perform advanced spells right before his eyes.
Abruptly, he slammed his pen on the table. Where is she!? He glanced at his clock. And it's time for the meeting already. Come on Alix, please get here soon...
